biggest thing you need to do to improve support is stop sending mailings from a no-reply email address. Replying should create a support ticket automatically if the email it came from is associated with an account. Further verification could be required depending on the request.

just a happy Sumologic user, saying hello and Thanks! Most of your product is great (I am ex splunk user)... The biggest complaint is that I can't cmd+click to open anything in new tabs as everything is so JS crazy front end.
overall the pattern matching stuff is pretty cool. Also, would like a see raw logs around this for when I am trying to debug event grouping errors based on the starting regex.
I find this surprising seeing as cloudflare blocked me on shared wifi while traveling internationally from accessing many sites, claiming it was to prevent email spam. They were blocking more sites than over zealous hotel and government internets. When I started a thread about how they were blocking from a significant percentage of hotel and coffeeshop wifi's in various countries their response was find other wifi. Really seems like you need to turn down the filtering.

I am pro continuous integration, continuous delivery to staging. I think it takes extra care to do continuous deployment to production. There needs to be a number of systems in place some of which @mattjaynes mentioned others really depend on having a very solid and accessible deployment pipeline.
based on the old "calendar about nothing" site that eventually became Github's streak feature. I built http://nothingcalendar.com/ to track working on one of my goals every day. Haven't worked on it for years, but still works well for tracking simple streaks.
setting custom times would be nice I like to do 30 seconds with 10 seconds rest
Heroku for static content is always terrible, I am always surprised at how many people host static sites on Heroku, it is really easy to host of S3 buckets and it is much faster for static pages.
keep emailing and asking on the message boards. Fitbit is a bit slow to get back to people but normally pretty good about it. I built ruby apis to access fitbit before they had an API and a android app prior to them releasing their own. I was in email contact with them the whole time and they were willing to help me out and give me beta access to the api before it was public.
I love fitbit, and hope they allow users to at least download the detailed personal reports.
I would say diggs attempts at manipulating the front page and banning people, blocking posts, and unfairly pushing some content to the front helped kill it. When I lost faith in the democracy of Digg I just stopped going and spent time with my votes elsewhere (reddit)

Reversing a decision only after costumers leave you in droves doesn't show your trust worthy. They either didn't understand the bill (in which case they shouldn't write a letter supporting it), or they are only changing now waiting for the bad PR to die down. If you have domains with them it is still worth switching to a company that will always publicly support freedom over oppressing peoples views to attempt to prevent some IP infringement. The rights to freedoms are more important than the rights to absolute control over corporations IP.
I am moving all my domains to DNSimple.com now... I have hated GoDaddy for so long, and started registering all new domains at DNSimple but hadn't taken the time to transfer all my old domains... Finally doing that now... They have a nice API.
I bought to support the experiment, same with rainbows, NIN and others. I do agree that most purchases aren't this way and the long tail should be significant.

So he loaned me money to invest in the stock market. Help me pick and buy stocks, track their values. Eventually to sell them and pay back the loan keeping profits for myself...
The only real issue was it was the start of tech bubble and I was a computer nerd. I bought all tech stocks which soared, my older brother buy shoe companies and the like...
I nearly tripled my investment while my brother lost 30ish% of his. Not sure it was quite as real world learning opportunity as he was hoping.

I am sick of everything being social. I listen to and read things I enjoy and often don't want to share it with the whole world. For example battle.net in SC2 tries it's damn hardest to make me post achievements and connect with my friends online, and I just want to play a game alone when I happen to have some free time. That kind of game wasn't social for me in the first place, and I don't want it to be. Same with my spotify usage, I want to listen to the radio, I don't want the whole world to know I am listening to jazz radio at the moment.
Seriously any agreement that waives the right to sue, is very likely to not be held up in a court of law.
To be fair, the only reason this info is public is the person is 'tagging' the activity. By default all tagged links in delicious are public and that makes sense. If you tag an activity like this on fitbit, you should mark it private.
I have a fitbit and I can't for the life of me figure out why people would start tagging every activity they do and start and end times... but if they are adding tags, comments, and other personal details they should mark it all private.

Um it is great that you get access to their massive mailing list and site traffic, but you can't do $10 and you are forgetting about the fees (30-50% of revenue). So you have a $60, selling for $30 * 300 sales = 9,000 (2,700 is kept by them for the 30% fee). You get $6,300 for something that normally makes you $18,000... It is still a great deal because you get 300 new customers who hopefully love the service and return... All companies like this tell the service business to TAKE it out of their marketing budget. Not to consider it as a easy way to make a TON of profit. Many make little to nothing or loose money on the deals. It is advertising to a very captive market that may come again.
Agreed, it basically solved the having a really old rails and a really new rails on the same machine issue.
Honestly have rails 2.2.2 and old rubygem, along with rails 2.3.4 and rubygem 1.36 has never been easier. Thanks goes to the RVM project for simplifying keeping around different stacks of Ruby.
