I noticed the "only one on sale" thing too. I suspect the author meant it was the only one for sale at the store, period, not that it was the only one with a sale/discounted price.

I saw "The Ashley Book of Knots" mentioned on another post, and it has some interesting history of knots. Especially that the introduction of books led to sailors spending more time not knotting.

Failing to answer Leetcode questions doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. Many will be difficult without spending a lot of time practicing similar problems.

If they were "easy"-ish Leetcode questions, it might not be a bad idea to practice some basics.

Many interviewers are looking at your thought process and ability to transfer your ideas into, not just whether or not you solved the problem.

I'm not sure what 'all consuming' would mean exactly. But excess complexity might also indicate fragility, in which case breaking an entire system/subsystem might come fairly easily

This doesn't seem like news.. Dark theme has been in Win 10 for a while and didn't apply to old style apps. Did they specifically promise to do this?

Former smoker here, and I miss the time to relax/reset, plus the social aspect. Lately I've been taking small breaks to just sit outside, and this has some of the same benefits for me.

I disagree. Nerfing classes/weapons in games still gives everyone the same toolset to work with, and more skilled players can still excel with the different toolset.

To use another games analogy, this is more like "rubber-banding" in racing games, where the pack is artificially caught up to the leader.
