I just have no words. There will be so many scams and other issues if (or when) OpenClaw is hacked... Identity thefts, bank transfers, deleted accounts, stolen photos, etc.

I think you don't cook much if you say this... We try to cook our food as much as possible and also we are at home almost all the time. At the end of the day there can easily be 2-3 pots, 2-3 bowls, 4-6 cups for tea, coffee or breakfast, a few glasses, 4 to 8 dishes, utensils and cutlery, some devices like a blender attachment and its jug, Tupperwares and some pan that I made sure it's dishwasher safe...

I could reduce a bit the number of glasses and cups by reusing them more but anyway, the dishwasher makes a big difference.

You can but you'll miss important context.

TOS and TNG explain the Federation utopian universe, the ongoing conflicts and races, the moral dilemmas of the captains... I feel that starting with DS9 might get you miss the point a bit.

I would say to at least try to watch a curated selection of TNG episodes.

Even if what this article claims is false, I'm 100% in favor of buying organic fabrics like wool and cotton. I'm doing it as much as I can and it's not that difficult except for shoes and some water proof layer. There are also solutions for that but I admit they are a bit less convenient for certain uses like hiking

The microplastics are getting everywhere and I don't want to know what happens if the amount keeps increasing... But I guess we will know.

I have 3 oversized air purifiers in my home.

I don't really know if they help to prevent infections but my wife has Long Covid and every time there is too much dust, pollen or smoke around us she gets pretty bad.

So we decided to buy them with little proof after she noticed she feels somewhat better when staying in a room with one. It could even be partially placebo but for the days with too much particles from outside I think it really helps.

Maybe we should rather have a full control of air flows in our home but that would be a huge investment for a very old house, also having air flowing with windows partially open on dry days also seems to help. Humidity ( and certainly mold) also has a clear negative effect so I had to buy a dehumidifier too

"It's very concerning that this marketing puff piece is being eaten up by HN of all places as evidenced by the other thread."

It's very concerning that you claim this without previously fully reading and understanding Google's publication...

Full of people sucking each other BS. And then recruiters unable to understand the most basics of a profile.

Nevertheless I update my own from time to time, it can still be useful if you navigate through the garbage. Also it helps me to cross-check a bit some people if they have a contact that you both know and you trust.

More than once I encountered people with 100% fake profile and fake work history. Maybe LinkedIn should only allow to add that you worked somewhere doing something with some kind of verification process.

My wife with Long Covid for 3 and a half years has the same issue and doctors just don't want to be bothered by her. For example spirometry test showed that her lung capacity is fine but the test itself left her exhausted for one week.

The pulmonologist analysing the results didn't even want to hear about her idea to do 2 tests in 2 sequential days. It was going to be harming for her but she was willing to do it just to have some evidence of what happens to her next day after an "effort".

She also asked for help to understand why polluting or pollen can trigger her fever and even coughing blood. Doctor just said she doesn't know and there is not test he can do.

It's so discouraging the lack of curiosity, eagerness to help and to try to learn new things 99% of doctors show.

I'm kind of forced to use X because to help my sick wife I follow on Long Covid research, people self-reporting improvement and so on.

Is there a way to get what I want without using X directly unless I interact? Notice that I need to be able to easily "follow" new people if someone I already follow retweets/likes someone new and interesting to me. Or also navigate through chain of retweets and references

I just happen to have a 3 hours recording that needs transcription and I didn't manage with Whisper. It has 3 special characteristics:

-Huge size (400MB), it can be split but then I want a single text file with correct timestamps

- There are 3 speakers and one is speaking far from the microphone and with low voice. Whisper sometimes ignores this speaker.

- The last and more difficult is that there are 2 languages being used at the same time. The same speaker might use Dutch or English and even mix both in a sentence.

Is there a way to deal with all that?

Maybe, but if someone has the resources to do it right, that's Rockstar. GTA is a perfect game to use AI and I really think it could be one of the reasons to delay it. I guess they can patch things later but they might want a foundation in the game.

I just hope it can be made local, but I'm afraid they will use this as excuse to force playing online

Yes a lot of people does this manually. But the services predate on the people that is too busy or lazy to unsubscribe and I'm afraid they are a much larger group.

Long Covid (probably a form of ME/CFS triggered by Covid) is one of the worse diseases one can get. It invalidates you as a person physically and mentally and there are no solutions around. At the same time you are gaslighted by doctors and people because there is no clear diagnosis.

My wife is already on her 3rd year and I just could witness first hand how shallow is the knowledge of most doctors, how they have zero curiosity or enthusiasm to help and especially in Europe, how are they extremely averse to try anything with the "do not harm" in mind.

They think that doing nothing is better than trying a non-approved treatment and I'll put an example. My wife had a respiratory tract infection back in October which probably got while going to the GP by the way. With Long Covid her immune system seems very compromised, she never leaves home if it's not imperative because even with a wheelchair is too much effort. I don't attend almost any social event and I take a lot of precautions. Anyway, with the infection she was coughing blood for 3 days and then she was unable to breath properly, having drops of oxygen saturation down to 86% and waking up breathless in the middle of the night.

She documented her symptoms very well including her saturation measurements. The GP just told her to wait for a few weeks for full recovery and everything will be back to normal and he literally said he had no time to read her notes. She asked please to get an oxygen concentrator or at least be sent to a pulmonologist. This request was denied and of course the only option she had was to buy the concentrator on her own which helped a ton. Probably if she got it the 1st year she would be much better by now.

She is taking like 10 supplements and medications, she is using infrared light, oxygen concentrator, wheelchair, special pillows, asthma inhaler, etc... All this helps her to have a bearable existence but guess what, not a single thing was proposed and prescribed by the doctors. Almost everything she takes is based on small studies from internet and experiences from patients. Mostly from the USA where doctors are much more open minded and willing to take risks which is necessary when your default baseline is almost like being a tetraplegic with dementia and chronic pain.

She has to get pretty harmless drugs like Sulodexide (a blood thinner) from other countries in a shady way because the Doctors in the Netherlands won't even prescribe this.

There is some progress in diagnosis or biomarkers detection and some promising studies for cures like monoclonal antibodies, antivirals and others. But meanwhile it's a pure nightmare to live with Long Covid.

For me it's Musk too. The refreshed Model Y is the cheapest and most efficient car that fits all my requirements. I didn't like Musk before but I admired him. But supporting AfD in Germany, asking the king of England to kick the government and all other recent acts crossed a few red lines for me.

I have to change my car in May and it will be probably more expensive or worse car than the Model Y. I need 500+ km range, big trunk, efficiency, silence and confort, acceptable fast charging, heat pump and all for around 50k € max.

The Chinese options are cool but much less efficient. Not that cheap but better equipped. Also no service in some countries where I travel often.

KIA/Hyundai are a bit overpriced and okish but the EV5 is the only I would consider and it's not here yet. The VW group are overpriced and need a new platform. However my current first choice is the new Skoda Enyaq. Otherwise maybe a slightly used VW ID7 but it's too long for parking...

From Stellantis I could consider the Renault Scenic and its clones but I think they are a bit short on trunk capacity and they use too many capacitieve buttons

BMW is out of my reach but they make the best EVs from the ones I tried

The non-solid have evolved so much during the last year that now the solid ones are not even better in density. However, I assume the solid state batteries can evolve further since this will just be the first generation.

Normally the promised benefits of solid state batteries were these: - More density - More safety - More cycles - Better in high and low temperatures - Probably cheaper in the long term

At the moment LFP batteries are caching up with a lot of these improvements and the sodium-ion also are starting to improve, reduce price and offer advantages in extreme temperatures. Their density is not good but I think for homes and large storage facilities they can also be a winner if they become very cheap.

How can we keep free speech and ensure that bad actors don't abuse it?

Maybe the only way is a highly educated population that can't be easily manipulated. However I'm afraid nowadays there are too many channels that facilitate misinformation spreading. At the same time trusted sources of information are not valued, people are less educated on critical thinking and they have a lack of focus capacity that makes them more vulnerable.

A bit offtopic but does anyone know of an exoskeleton that offers full body support? My wife has Long Covid and she can walk 1 km at a very slow pace but further than that she must use a wheelchair.

I would love to find an exoskeleton for her but it has to be comfortable and able to support her back and neck since she can't cope with her own body standing for very long. I would be willing to spend a significant amount if it makes her life better.

Utrecht is fantastic and even if you get to the city by car, the most convenient is to drop it in the park and ride outside for 7 euros a day including public transport to the center.

All cities should have a downtown where the only vehicles are taxis and buses and some neighbour.

The neighbourhoods around the center are also designed in a way that crossing them by car is possible but very inconvenient. Going from Lombok to Wittevrouwen is always around 10 minutes by bike but can be more than 30 by car during busy hours.
