That’s a very interesting thought. Presumably stuff like CRISPR will make our meat code open source and we’ll be able to deploy hot fixes ourselves.

I always assumed that it was something to do with people getting increasingly frustrated with the struggle of keeping up with stuff.

I played Renaissance and the following one on unofficial servers for about 6 years between 2003 and 2010. My offline and online friends would easily play 6-8 hours per day, and when we were offline we were talking about it. It was like a second life and an incredible escape, but looking back at it we were all addicted to it pretty badly. I get flashbacks and cravings to this day.

I wonder if this is why we generally experience making better decisions when we have habits that foster good quality sleep.

I studied physics-based rendering from a book by one of the two authors (T. A-M), and it was written excellently. I'll have a look at this for sure, as I need a refresher every now and again.

Does it rely heavily on python, or could someone use a different language to go through the material?

Amazing! I love Vegemite ever since living in Australia. When we later moved to Vienna I bought some with me. My first born has never been anywhere near Australia but is addicted to butter and Vegemite on toast. We also use it to make vegan versions of Italian recipes requiring anchovies.
