I live in MN and have a Lightning. The range does drop significantly in the winter compared to the summer, however no other vehicle I've ever owned has been able to pre-heat my cabin in my garage every morning before my commute to work, and I'm not driving 500 miles to work so it seems like a worthwhile trade off to me.

So probably another stupid question, but how do you know what it's spitting out is accurate?

Exactly. As inflation goes up and wages remain stagnant, more and more people are doing the risk calculus that makes stealing and crime in general worthwhile.

People with good paying jobs that don't wear them down the bone don't steal things, but when you're looking at spending 90% of your pay on a shared living space, and no money left for food, or emergencies, then stealing copper, or catalytic converters all of a sudden starts looking like a valid option.

Still not seeing that claim, I'm still reading though, but so far it seems to actually claim the opposite. Some of the failings of MRNAI is that it's temporary.

Unrelated, but does anyone have any good options for listening to a podcast with someone simultaneously? I know in spotify you can do shared listening sessions, but that requires a spotify premium subscription.

As for Android, I know they are still tackling C# support on Android exports, but other than that I'm not personally aware of it not being good for mobile.

This is one of the reasons why investing in learning a terminal "IDE" / editor like vim / emacs can pay off. You can ssh from anywhere and have your development environment waiting for you.

It's kind of blowing my mind how different the prices are state to state. $900 for a family plan in New York? I pay $1600 in MN for my family plan in MN.

I can't speak towards repairablity and legality, but I know cars are safer now than they used to be back when they were made of steel, because they crumple which absorbs the impact of crashes. Rigid steel transfers the impact to it's occupants.

I'm eager to see how this thing performs in crash tests.

Modern satellites (included Starlink) are much better at this than they used to be. However it'd be nice if there was some treaty, agreement, or body that defines and maybe enforces proper retiring of satellites and management of space debris.

Agreed. I'm in the middle of moving our code base over to the plugin above. I figured the Typescript + Decorators Component API was a dead end, so it'd be easier to transition from the plugin to Vue 3 when it eventually came out.

It's been a breath of fresh air when working with typescript.

I completely disagree with you here. Neither economies or governments (or "the public mind") are so completely focused and one dimensional as to only direct resources towards one endeavor.

The Apollo program didn't prevent the Soviets from drilling the borehole in the early 70's or Jacque Cousteau from exploring the oceans in the 60's.

While I agree with you for the most part, the technology developed to dig down and live underground would mostly only be applicable to digging down further.

The frontier is in space, and every technological step we take towards that frontier is a step we can use to keep moving outwards.

That being said there's no reason both can't be attempted. One does not preclude the other.

I don't get all the negativity. From a typescript perspective, this looks like a breath of fresh air compared to the component based API.

I love this. I find that so many people get emotionally attached to a decision, simply because it was theirs or their teams.
