When you live paycheck to paycheck, there is really no room to think about or espouse passion, value, or achievement. Language can be very hierarchical, and often creates barriers to entry between in groups and out groups.

While I understand what you are saying, unless you have some context, the above values are useless to think about and may even be detrimental, unless you have some sort of algebraic commutation of language.

However, if you can evaluate some of these terms in your own life, and find others that also value the same things, and communicate in the same terms in an interview then, yes that may work.

To some extent, health insurers, the health care corporations which make the payments, are non-profit, but the other half is still for profit.

On the coast of Senegal, fishing is the only way to survive. For those that don't fish, there are few jobs that can be had, such as unloading the fish, or sorting them for transportation. The rest join in the economy by taking fish off the boats, or retrieving the fish that have fallen in the water, or stealing them off the boats when they come back to shore. Even if the fisherman push them off the boats, and take back their fish, they will still come back everyday, because there is no other way available to survive. Ethics aren't afforded to a society where people still have to make life or death decisions on a daily basis.

By extension, developed societies are not afforded virtue ethics, when important indices such as well-being, happiness, and the full range of emotional satisfactions, indicative of an intelligent species, are not met. These are maintained by a network of both physical resources, and societal connections.

Maslow, again, comes to mind, detailing how the physical and emotional needs of a person can work to achieve a better human. However, in some modern societies the practical pyramid of needs gets skewed, to only a few people. Will it ever be perfect? I don't think that is ever achievable, but if the goals remain myopic, you may never be able to improve, unless there are interalgic and dedicated people doing so.

I hope you are not talking about people. We break bones, bump our heads, or lose too much blood and we are out of commission.

What you are talking about is a war-based society, a fault-tolerant system, with lots of redundancy, that runs through conflict and chaos. The last two decades were an experiment in that one.

I strongly disagree. Good leaders know how to manage not only their own teams, but everyone else's as well, so much so that anyone that doesn't seem to be the right fit, can be effortlessly placed by a well connected professional network somewhere else, to allow them to thrive.

At best, this video shows a mediocre team leader.

Same here, but burnout. Most of the feedback I was getting were in the form of personal threats and "start looking for other jobs", from management.

I wonder if boreout and burnout are just products of the current imbalances of the current socioeconomic system, on a personal scale? What are we doing wrong economically, politically or socially that produces these extreme disparities in culture and society? Are there any remedies given the current constraints of legal, social, and familial obligations? Is finance so entrenched with physical and emotional well-being, that there can never be a happy medium?

It seems to me that some of the more advanced societies today have started to address some of the more existential questions of human existence through policy, to help assuage some of these fears. As before, policy helped to address some of the more physically threatening things like lions and tigers and bears, by building infrastructure. Advanced society policy addresses more existential questions, as in the above paragraph.

Which one do you live in, one that struggles with the basics, or the one that engages and addresses the existential questions of human existence? If you really want to get serious, what is the optimal velocity at which this occurs?

Why aren't people looking at guanine-positron hole trapping for building quantum circuits? I mean they are super easy to construct and can readily trap potassium and calcium in close enough proximity to get spin coupling with electron resonance to a gold scaffold.
