The EUV lithography process and other pieces that comprise what ASML sells was developed with US government funding, and it remains encumbered by that. The US government thus has veto power over the tech, and thus over ASML.
The placement of the Krone pack in the photo at link, makes me laugh: it would never survive in the USA, given the way truck drivers drive and the bumps and curbs etc. that trucks drive over. It would be ripped off or at least heavily damaged within 50K miles.

If it was just recognizing license plates that would be fine. However it fingerprints individuals by running a Bluetooth and WiFi connection to capture your phone or laptop’s Bluetooth MAC and WiFi MAC.
There are Flock cameras placed along running paths where there are no cars, and other places that would never need license plate readers.
Does Flock have a microphone that can record you talking with your friend while watching ducks at the local park?

There are newer versions of M/MUMPS around and some of them are open-source such as YottaDB https://yottadb.com/ and Reference Standard M https://gitlab.com/Reference-Standard-M/rsm .

A friend met with Oracle salesdroids (his company has spent a few million with them in the last few years).
They told him everything is oriented towards AI, to the point that otherwise profitable software is not being updated and development has stopped on anything new.
Oracle has a lot of niche solutions and the one my friend’s corporation uses is profitable but not on the AI path, so it is being put into maintenance mode.

I think some of the devs are Russian and a quick scan of the video doesn't show anything other than a shared screen for the bulk of the time (using the mouse to grab the time pointer and move it quickly through the length of the presentation).

The ruling comes 17 years after Fender was famously unsuccessful in its attempts to make its Stratocaster, Telecaster and Precision guitar body shapes a trademark in the US, decades after the designs were first produced.
