For some reason I tend to break screens way before the battery dies usually. I am not afraid to replace a battery or even a screen if phone is not totally out of date. Having said that there seems to always be a point when they start acting semi eratically or stop booting.

I had a totally outdated and probably insecure Samsung S6 edge 2 years ago that started rebooting randomly. I think that prior to that it was so old I could only install stuff from f-droid and aurora because roots certs installed on that old android version were too old for playstore to work. Too bad as you can't easily find smartphones in similar sizes anymore.

Usually I replace a smartphone because it has some hardware fault that makes it unusable and it is hard to repair or the cost of repair vs capability is not very favorable.

Even if I was replacing smartphone before they died, I would probably sell them anyway. Do people really have various phones in working order waiting in a drawer?

In my experience there are never enough towel racks or they aren't wide enough for the towel and the bathroom ventilation is usually set to stop automatically when you close the door.

Hotel electronics do not have feelings so I don't really think that the monster qualification applies, and they are probably ok anyway as they are so rarely used and have time to dry before being powered on thanks to the aircon helping maintaining a dry air. I don't think the actual electrical components do suffer from a lot of moisture from the towel.

Well usually if I am on vacation that is not to stare at walls but to visit, enjoy the place I am visiting and and experience stuff so yes I usually only come back to the hotel room either to wash/change myself or to sleep and/or have sex.

My experience in cold places, especially those with a lot of snow and ice, is that there are usually enough chores to do that skipping deadlifts day is not really a problem though.

Also what's "engaging" in running? You put one foot in front of the other, it's not exactly something that needs 100% of your brain power to execute.

I guess that is the difference between running or cycling outside and doing it on a machine.

I guess we are a different breed. I didn't even knew there were TV in gym clubs (I am exercising outside, never understood paying for exercising either). I don't really understand why someone would be so little engaged on his exercising/training/sport that they would need a screen to entertain themselves to be honest.

That is interesting to hear, a completely foreign concept to me that sounds a bit like addiction to be honest.

I am pretty sure that if you need an inexpensive car with a decent charging bed, you are better of buying a regular passenger car and tow a small trailer when you need it.

My dad bought one years ago and tow it with his corolla minivan whenever he needs it. Chance is that if you only need the bed a couple of times a year or are space constrained you are better of renting it.

People mistake 4x4 for safety but really the most important part is the tires. A 2wd car with winter tires will be much safer and have more traction in the snow/ice than a 4x4 with all-seasons tires.

Impossible is not the correct word. But one need to have lower expectation, favor lighterweight (tui or cli) apps whenever possible, avoid the ADriddledweb, etc.

The main point is there is very little reason to do that because by now most of these old netbooks batteries are dead which remove the advantage of their form factor as you cannot bring them everywhere as you used to and you can get a cheap second hand laptop or desktop with a larger screen, a much better keyboard, 8gb pf ram and a much better cpu for very little money these days.

What do you do to your mouses to make them fail so quickly? Are you throwing them randomly accross the room?
