I wonder if we get to use the + modifier in Google Search again.

Much smaller screens made this a useful function for being able to layer windows, as fake tabs
installed and checked the man page, hmm 'flies like the galaxy express 999' wonder what that is
$ ls -F
dammit!
$ sl -F
So I guess it's corrected my typos already :)
Why did they not name it Apple Juice instead of Airpower? :) If you're referring to the FaceTime announcement, it was a third party that forced them to keep it closed (from memory).
On stage it was stated you needed to be alert and looking at the device, as in eyes open. Sleeping is fine I'd guess :)
If you're worried about people living with you, I'd guess TouchID is already a huge issue.
I feel that Apple knows exactly what it's doing with this feature. There is a strong pull with iMessage for 15-25 year olds in schools, the kind of market something like this will go over pretty well with and potentially create more lock in to their message platform. Along with all the other photo apps that will take advantage of this tech. You could even just look at the Animoji as a tech preview for all the other devs.
I like the momentum, but on mobile (iPad) each move is a new place in my back history.
Sounds like you're enjoying living where you are precisely because of strangers, some of which I'm assuming you meet ;)
It could also be how they made QuickTime very (more?) unstable on Windows, or the IE extension in OS 9 that WOZ proved to cause the OS to crash.
I think your info is a bit outdated (and some incorrect). Buy a mac (or ignore the Eula and run OS X in a VM), install the dev tools (free), install the app on your iPad (free). If you want to publish, there's a fee (per year).
From the article : "Saturation divers are incredibly well paid (around £1,500 per day), but the risk they are exposed to reflects the rationale behind the pay structure."
That lawsuit was because apple didn't pay the standard licensing fees for something Nokia owned, because Nokia was trying to charge more than they are allowed to (they wanted access to the iPhone patents as part of the deal). So apple decided to just go ahead, knowing they'd loose but the loss would be at the proper rate (plus lawyers fees).
Try this site, I use it occasionally to help me ignore the fan / vibration noise in this building and it works really well (for my purposes at least). There are plenty of different presets to choose from or tune your own.

I use that one, Darkness, overall volume up a little and first two sliders down a little. Works like a charm.
Depending on my mood I'll either stop reading and leave the site, or fill in an (hopefully an actual) email address of the domain I'm on, then leave the site. It's never ever enticed me to sign up for anything
Just a FYI, with uBlock on (mostly default settings except for a few specific sites of which yours isn't one) I couldn't sign up at all, the field for entering the email address just wasn't showing at all. As most others have said, it looks great! Looking forward to playing more with it
How does this site stop the tap on the top of the screen / title bar of safari from scrolling up to the top? Rather irritating.
That would depend on your instatution, all of the private schools I work with let the teachers find new apps and we can push them to the iPads pretty easily. Budget has been provided with a little extra so we can buy apps during the year if needed, and we do.
Win a decent MDM, the apps work and work well.
Check Karl Schroeder, you may find him a refreshing change. His first book is available to read online at his website http://karlschroeder.com
From what you mentioned, it sounds like his books may be right up your alley.
Running the same machine with Yosemite, no cpu upgrade but an SSD and video card upgrade. Thinking of putting new cpu's in as they are down to $35 for a pair, almost free at this point. Can't complain about the machine at all, going on 10 years now which is just awesome, and I do so love internal HD's on sleds.
The individual posts load really quickly, but the main page doesn't (well not as fast as the other one mentioned). Either way, both are fast and I wish more websites were like this, not just forums!
Hah! I wrote a script a few months back and had to solve an issue of figuring out the state of a program running under wine, and that was my solution (to not in ruby, just a quick bash script). I was pretty happy with the results but if felt like an incredibly crude way to solve the problem, now I read that this is being used at much higher levels than I'll get to, maybe it's not so bad :)
Is there any reason to check for saturday / sunday in the scripts instead of just doing that via cron (or launchd)?
I've noticed when copying stuff like this that the selected text looks different on iOS.
This is how it looks in this instance :
Looks good. I don't use gitlab so didn't grab it, but always like checking out good UI's. How long did it take you to create it?
Hah, I'll have to pay attention to see whether or not my thinking works along those lines as well next time!
Nope, it does not. He finished at the gym around that time and I was free around that time so that day that was the time picked :)
We do that (amongst a few friends), we pick a time such as 3:22 to meet up. I wish I could recall why we started doing this, but it always feels purposeful.
Actually, if you just type your search phrase in the URL bar and scroll to the bottom of the suggested URLs that pop up the local page search results are there as well.
Under the "Find on this page" heading.
The bit you quoted doesn't contradict what the OP stated, if /usr/local _does not_ exist, not even root can create it.
If it exists, we can use it as before.
Considering how many times I've installed OS X, I can't recall if /usr/local is there by default (excluding 10.11 for the moment). Will have to do another few installs and check.
It is o my the initial download that is limited to 200MB, once launched the app can then download another 2GB right away. You can have another 2GB on the device, and up to 20GB in the cloud. So 4.2GB on the device at once per game and all the slices in the cloud. So common content in the initial 2.2GB and the rest in the swappable chunks.
I'm guessing this is for a few reasons, one would be to get debs into the habit of creating these downloadable slices for something down the track. But that's just a guess.
Another would be that the game is downloaded really quickly, from the end users point of view, and able to begin being played really quickly, without having to wait for 4-20gb to download first, then realize you've run into storage issues and have to deal with them. Common files and first level or two while the next 10 are on their way down. Seems like a decent plan for a fast user experience, if that's why they are doing it.
