Would be interested in the math you did around this. That said, there are a few interesting things that could be added on to the service to make it more profitable--so it's not necessarily just the economics of parking.

MITMproxy is much more flexible--but steeper learning curve. Very command line-y versus Charlesproxy. I'd use charlesproxy for casually look at apps, and MITM if you needed more advanced stuff.

This is a fantastic visualization. Would love to see as much as you're comfortable sharing with us!

This is his point though. People use the github activity chart to inaccurately infer activity, which is dangerous as Github rises in importance.

It's very possible it is him.

That said, I don't think the cognitive dissonance is because of some crazy fantasy however. The creator of bitcoin clearly went to some great lengths to avoid people knowing his actual identity. Given this, it seems very odd for them to have used their real name in all communication.

Good system I've seen for domain buying is this: You set price you'll pay. Broker decides to take job. They negotiate a price that equal to or lower than your cap. They get fixed fee plus X% of difference between price paid and max price you'd be willing to pay.

This is pretty common, and there's certainly a wave of open source software based companies currently. Definitely a tricky thing to navigate, of course.

Typically I find it works best when the company is very clear about which areas they feel should be open source and which areas they will be monetizing. Its the ambiguity and loss of trust that creates tension.

This is likely very naive. But can you elaborate on how you use it for this?

Am just starting to explore Docker.

As someone with no experience with this, any resources you'd recommend on how to set this up?

That's skipping the substantial part where Terman establishes Stanford's engineering department, brings in massive government funding, and encourages students to commercialize the research.
