I used the Boris Bikes in London 249 times last year, theres an annual pass that costs £90. I commute into the city by train so its a lot easier than using my own bike. Whilst I like endless games so this does appeal, I do echo the comments above that it seems to be iOS users would prefer levels to complete, the game and concept itself work great on the 4s

31 I have claimed 10+ but could argue for nearly 20+ as started with basic on a spectrum, however I had a hiatus in my teens before I got involved again properly

I have modded 15" pro

1) I have a 128gb SSD for the OS etc where the optical drive was and a 750gb SATA drive replacing the stock one

2) 8GB ram if you use parallels or eclipse etc this a no brainer for the price/ease

3)the hires matt screen (1680x1050) means you can use outside

So whilst not as portable as the airs, it never lacks power and is user upgradeable, my slight fear of the air is you would always be waiting on Apple for an upgrade and it might not quite fit your requirements (large disk or ram)

I also use a backpack anyway so really apart from when I ram it full,to avoid having to check a bag on a plane, the air wouldn't really make that much difference personally, that said its a tough choice especially if you don't need the ram

If you have ever used any payforit service to pay for goods, the intermediary you went through will at the very least have your MSISDN hashed and most likely in the clear (depends on your mobile network operator)

iPhone developer so don't have that much choice really, but would probably still use OSX or Ubuntu given the freedom to choose

If you want my advice get an old JP8 Sony, so something like the K850, fast Java machine that only has some issues with optional apis and you can provision just the JAR via its USB cable or Bluetooth really easily. If you do get something running you can be semi confident it runs on the other JP8s

I started of in mobile in J2ME and am not looking back, you would want a sizeable portion of the market to even consider switching from the Android/iOS SDKs unless you also have a passion for self harm.

Even something as simple as signing and certification is a massive headache as theres no standardisation of what root certificates are in devices. The UTi and Java Verfied (Java Verfried as we called it) came very close but its still not 100%

No one really upgraded the firmware in their devices and the Java machine could not be updated, when fragmentation issues were solved, it was painful but some useful lessons were learned I guess!

* iPhone 5 will add NFC, which will have advertisers foaming at the mouth as Apple will link to ATV

* RIMM will be brought by a network operator for their operator friendly tech

* Existing iOS and Android publishers will be looking to other markets to get a ROI on their current outlay

* Stephen Elop will jump ship from Nokia

* Nintendo will release something on one of the existing mobile platform (probably more hoping, they should just do a high priced accessory game combo branded for Zelda/Mario for iOS)

* HTML 5 will provide "cross platform apps"

Dabbled in Lua, not had chance to play with many languages this year but managed to get my head around lot of new mobile frameworks and tooling

It must be the only mobile platform I havent found time to write anything for personally (this year managed to get apps in the relevant stores for iOS, Android, WebOS, Meego and Symbian)

I do really like the look of the Lumia and will always have a soft spot for Nokia, having to use Windows for the development OS is the large mental barrier that has caused me not to have a dabble, as it feels, most likely wrongly that it will take a while to get into.

On this respect I am selfishly glad Microsoft decided to hamper it by calling it "Windows Phone" which I am sure the man in the street has a negative view off compared to the likes of the non Windows branded Microsoft products like Xbox

I've always thought that a lot of people from the UK are guilty of thinking US, UK, Maybe France, Germany, Spain, RoW (Rest of World)

Thankfully the internet and travel have made the world a smaller place and these opinions are starting to break down!

Inclined to agree Amazon might garner a substantial lead for Android tablet app distribution, but theres still an awful lot of phones, compared to tablets and I for one cannot see this changing in the short term.

One good thing to note is Android 4.0, is asking for credit card details on initial start up now, so hopefully paid users++ when it comes to the Google Market, which might also help quell the myth of Android users "don't buy apps" which I feel at the moment is self reinforcing by the fact most published apps choose to ad support

you have to wonder if the beta tag has been applied purely because of scaling the servers, artificially holding back to the 4S rather than iphone 4 and ipad 2 probably makes capacity planning a lot easier!
