There's quite a few airports around the world where you'll run into this sort of scam. In Guadalajara, I've had to pay a "fee" to board a flight that I already had a seat on. In Bangalore I had to pay another fee so that my luggage would not go missing or be damaged.

I didn't get that feeling from the article at all. My brother actually has multiple myeloma as well; he's checked every 3 months to see if the blood levels have spiked and a skeletal survey is done every 6 months. It's almost a certainty that the cancer to start eating away at your bones and you not know it between the skeletal surveys.

I always assumed it was Matt Maroon punking us.

Wasn't balsamiq (Peldi) a single founder? I've founded a few startups as a single founder, but they'd most likely be classified as Micro-ISV's instead of startups. But I'm okay with that.

The realtor themselves don't make that much as it's a pyramid scheme. A realtor splits the commission 50/50 with the broker, and then pays fees (advertising, listing, business expenses, etc) out of their 50%. Take out taxes as well, and real estate, in most markets, ends up being a minimum wage job.

Personally, having my family to take care of as well as house/car payments makes me think about revenue much earlier in the game, and that's helped tremendously.
