This, I’ve completely lost interest in side projects outside of work since the emergence of LLMs. It does nothing for me any more

This position assumes that purely LLM-written codebases are able to scale infinitely.

IMO there isn’t enough evidence for me to feel comfortable in that judgement.

Anecdotally, I find that pretty often LLMs (even bleeding-edge models) write unidiomatic/unscalable/poorly-abstraced code when working in large codebases.

I became profoundly deaf in one ear as a teenager. I suffered with tinnitus for several years.

I don’t notice it at all now. It’s possible it’s still there, but I never think about it.

It’ll probably happen to you too at some point. It can’t be forced though, unfortunately.

Disagree - like many of the quotes on this page, it seems interesting at a very superficial level but upon further inspection turns out to be nonsensical.

If something requires attention, it’s by definition relevant
