While the bandwidth numbers seem terrible given this is from an entire beam at it's peak and beams are wide, this is super useful for things like sms where bandwidth is not a concern. At 17 Mb/s you can have thousands of simultaneous sms sends without issue

Personally I see this model extending to other things as well, the idea that each part of the os is a "package" with a specified interface and that you can replace that package at any time as long you comply with that interface is a very powerful concept. I see this going a lot further then just sdk improvements in the future.

If adb is enabled on the phone you can try using WebADB - https://webadb.com to pull data from the phone. It includes a file browser that allows you to see and pull files from the phone as well as a web based version of scrcpy.

I have had the exact opposite experience, I used mail in a box and set it up on digital ocean on a 5$ droplet.

The title is super clickbaity, emails are likely compromised?? Uh no. Every single closed source client for end to end encrypted messaging has this problem.

What happens if whatsapp decides to exfiltrate your end to end encrypted messages from the client side app?? There is nothing you can do to stop them. They can even attach it to an analytics event to be discrete.

Protonmail is unable to view your emails without your password and that claim is true regardless of whether they hold your encrypted private key server side.

This looks extremely scary to me, they say you can avoid having to noterize your apps with apple and microsoft because their installers are already approved. What happens when someone publishes some malware application using their wrapped and noterized installer? Apple and microsoft will then flag all other applications that used jdeploy as malware as well since they are all relying on the same noterized installer application.

Super risky and definitely not a good approach from a security perspective.
