Not always. Our startup's rented suite in DTLA did not have janitorial services provided for (only common building areas) and no security guard. Access cards? It was a metal key.

It’s pretty incredible speed. However, their customer service is atrocious. I signed up for a $70/m deal for the first year. This was confirmed by the sales rep. Then I was billed $80/m. They refused to do anything about it, saying the $70/m offer never existed.

Because they don't usually avoid meat because they don't like the taste - they do it for morale reasons. And sure, in 35 years a person may forget what that taste is, but if you make the best tasting plant-based burger then all sorts of people will be interested.

If you're ever looking for PM's this is right up my ally. I was the co-founder and head of product at Naritiv (Techstars/Disney Accel S14, acquired by Hootsuite). I also ran ops as well and dealt with our law firms (corp and entertainment) every week. Would love to talk! Email in profile.

Face ID just failed in the on-stage demo. Oops :(.

I think it's pretty simple and I always wondered why they didn't do it sooner. Reddit is already one of the most popular sites on the Internet - but since it was just an aggregator it constantly took users off their site. Now they're owning more and more of the content and keeping users there longer. Sure, video is expensive, but now they have a much bigger revenue opportunity. They can't monetize videos they don't host.

He also said he will "ship" his product and badmouthed his competitors for not shipping. Then he cancelled his product after one cease and desist. George is a brilliant mind, but I hope he figures out how to become a better entrepreneur. He has so much potential.

While the R&D tax credit is not new, one of the tweaks was not a slight change.

Before, you could only offset your corporate income taxes, so you couldn't claim the credit if you weren't profitable (because you wouldn't have corporate income taxes). Now, you can offset social security taxes, which are based on payroll. So more startups can now benefit from this credit.

Mine was came after attempting to pop my ears during a very bad ear infection. I was trying to relieve the pressure, as I have done a lot, but because of the bad ear infection it was actually making it worse. The pain was so bad and it felt like my ear was never going to pop. Eventually, the pain subsided but at that exact same time, in place of the pain, was a ringing.

My ENT said the tinnitus was most likely caused by the bad ear infection and tried to assure me that me trying to pop my ears didn't have anything to do with it, but I can't help but feel like that wasn't the case, as I made the pain so much worse.

Anyways, agreed with others here that the first few months were the worst, and now it's mostly unnoticeable unless I actively think about it, drink a lot, or leave a loud environment.

As a startup founder who dealt with numerous legal things on the ops side, there's clearly room for a lot of improvement. While Clerky seems to focus on the startup's side of the problem, it seems like Justin is tackling the firm's side of the problem (that allows company's like Clerky to take their business). This is really interesting to me and I would definitely bet on anything Justin leads. Really excited to see where this goes.

I think people forget, or maybe don't realize, open floor plans were popularized in the startup world because of their cost savings. It's very hard/expensive to rent office space with enough rooms for everyone, or build one out that way. It's way easier to put a bunch of IKEA desks next to each other.

I'm not saying there's not a better way, but that's the justification. Anybody trying to convince others that open floor plans are more productive is living in crazy town.

Discord is going to be very hard to touch, even for Amazon. They should buy them as soon as possible. I know they bought Curse to try and break in, but it's just not going to be enough. Discord already has insane market-share in the community/VOIP area and there's not much even Amazon could do better that would get people to switch at this point. Really great software that consolidated people from IRC, Ventrilo, Mumble, TeamSpeak, etc.
