That is one of the first videos I've seen in a long time where I've thought "wow we can do that now?"

A couple days ago we were posted on HN here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8353485 and we learned that people wanted shirts with actual code! (despite, in my opinion, more aesthetically pleasing blocks design) so in the spirit of iterating quickly, we've added support for actually printing the code on the shirt :).

Bravo. Ignore the haters who haven't run into thread issues and thus believe no one else can possibly run into these issues. "Just change the subject!" Clearly these people have never sent a bulk email, or considered the fact that others may use email differently from them. Really tired of this mentality of "I don't have complete information but I think I'm great thus I'm just going to assume you are clueless".

If you're a web game developer reading this you should also know that WebSockets, XHR, and anything built on top of those technologies (socket.io etc.) are TCP based. Only WebRTC DataChannels and flash are able to do UDP based communication in the browser.

You know, maybe it's because they just wanted to slow down legitimate users for some reason, and spam wasn't a big problem. Ok I'm just trying to be optimistic.

WebRTC encrypts by default and you have to manually edit the SDP to turn it off. I highly doubt the developer went to the lengths to do that.

It's true that it supports binary / reliable transport already but there are some very annoying not-to-spec issues. As a library developer, if I added code to support it, it would just go to waste because in BugZilla they've already patched but not pushed changes to these issues.

Perhaps I'm missing something here -- people criticize group deal sites for taking too much of the money in a deal (50% of the revenue). The marginal cost for LivingSocial on this is 0... why aren't they making tons of money? Where has the near $1 billion dollars gone?

This isn't even correlation, since when did insulting the french correlate to a rise/fall in stock prices?

ICE/STUN (which is used by WebRTC and thus PeerJS) support NAT traversal in all cases but a pair of symmetric NATs, which means some single digit percentage of connections will not work. For those cases, WebRTC/PeerJS support using a TURN server which proxies the data, not ideal but it allows the library to work.
