In my country install service is included in the price (mounting a wall holder inclusive) and required for warranty service. They go yes,yes,yes to every question on the install steps it becomes a blur. Must be part of their training. You can always get a hospitality tv though. They are pretty dumb unless you go into secret menus and such to enable network features.

I don't know who gave them that Utopian end goal but they could just settle slowly into a useful function. They didn't have to inflate so much as to make a crash almost inevitable.

You could have containers but the software itself had no way to manage them. The extension provided the de facto default way to manage them. I think now they are baking the functionality in. I wish they would actually flesh out split tabs. It is so barebones it pissed me off enough to sort of stop using Firefox on a few boxes altogether after decades of use.The browser seems to be the last thing on this company's mind.

Try paseo.sh . It does need the CLIs (claude, opencode, pi etc) running but it is a great interface for desktop and mobile.

I don't know how common it is but I can't stand "consume" for "eat/drink". Especially when used in the first person. Why would anybody say that about what they eat?

Yes I understood your other comment. I used free models for a long time. Less than 6 months ago there were a ton of options but the current free choices are very limited in number and usability. They run out way too quickly and some of them have smaller context sizes than paid offerings. As far as I know the only currently really free offering is Mimo via their own CLI.

Go is not free at all (you can't use any of the models you listed without a subscription) and the free Zen models will not be on other CLIs as far as I know.

As I said in other reply there's Mimo. But I would check the opencode Go plan. First month for 5 usd and renewal at 10. (With referral offers too). If you use only deepseek flash it would take you a long way every month.

I paid for a month of Claude and paradoxically I am not using it at all because of how quickly the 5 hr limit fills. Deepseek and Mimo do not give me that "Time's running out" anxiety.

I would hope it would do the "find and extract stream source" on the web page bit well. (This is quite hard on some sites). From there VLC can handle it.

I use "Web Video Caster" on Android to stream videos from websites to my TV. Free version is fine.

We are a long removed from when putting something in your public_html folder would instantly give you a personal web site. Not that I am saying people should still hand write html or anything but it was a very quick and natural way to participate back in the day. (A unix account usually gave you automatic p2p chat too using finger to see if your buddy was online and talk/ytalk to talk to them.) This was little less than magic at the time even when your friend was sitting on the terminal right next to you.

In the last 10 year or so my 2 beefy machines had much better uptime than the top clouds. :)

I am not suggesting you do this but some businesses can actually be down a little bit, like my non-IT one. I've had issues in the past with email. If the issue happens after business hours and resolves before start of business next day, nobody will even notice.

How does one make the agent actually save and recall memories and at relatively sensible times? I tried a few memory things and have seen a few in-CLI programmatic approaches but nothing that actually looked useful in real use.

You adapted to how your tool works rather than try to shape it into what it isn't. So far all the nondeterministic (prompt based) workflows I have tried have been meh in an "I can't tell if it's any better but it sure is more complicated and less portable" way.

Current tools. Opencode and whatever cli i can't avoid (like claude code for my first month which I don't thinking I'll renew) usually accessed using Paseo for it's excellen mobile client.

I found Netbird to be easier to implement. Among its peers it seems to be the most complete open source solution. It IS a bit fast moving though so there might be issues. And they just added an Agent network thing that nobody asked for but it's par for the course these days.

I don't get why with all the plumbing the author already set up, Go had to be part of the mobile app at all. Could have been a clean flutter/dart UI with a Go backend. (All of these they already have but somehow they have to deal with passing binary data between Go mobile and dart?)

I must have made a claude.ai account when they first launched and forgot about it. Last week I logged in (through google) to get a subscription and it greeted me as "Hello, Master". I thought it was quite edgy at this day and age. :)

There's nothing sinister there. Google is merely trying to break their own app in new user hostile ways and everything else breaking is collateral damage. :)

Not that i recommend it or anything but git submodules would probably work.
