I agree, anecdotally I've only hit any usage limits on the $100 Max plan in the past couple of days using Fable 5. Evaluating old codebases eats a lot of tokens. But before Fable 5 I was running Opus 4.8 on max effort most of the day and rarely getting close to 50% usage. I rarely run dynamic workflows and sub-agents though.

If you look at current pictures of operators in the field many are already using Android phones (usually Samsung). The Chrome extension Dark Reader works very well on Hacker News. It's hit or miss on other sites and can create some disturbing SVGs.

I've been in a couple channels with several hundred people. The admins handled it by shouting until everyone was quiet, enforcing one person speaking at a time, and swiftly muting, moving, or banning anyone who disobeyed. I'm not sure if Discord's API is flexible enough for a bot like that.

I've worked with Purescript and some other frontend functional languages/frameworks and haven't been as productive as I believe functional allows you to be. But this and Miso seem very promising. I'm really excited about potentially using one language and paradigm for web, mobile, and backend.

What framework or library are you using to write frontend and mobile apps in Haskell?

HN has taught me what great comments and writing look like, introduced me to cool and obscure tech, and shown me that everyone experiences imposter syndrome. I'm especially grateful for getting a push out of my comfort zone when I was job searching. I got an offer to do contract development work from a post on HN which lead to starting a business and being a full-time, remote developer. I've gotten several clients and job offers from blog posts that have received attention on here and people have always been helpful and respectful in the comments section especially in comparison to other sites.

I would be more interested if the representation of the data was something other than identicons. I identify these too closely with people's profile pictures specifically on Github. I do think this is a neat idea though.

I've followed n-o-d-e's content for a couple of years. They've consistently made interesting and inspiring content. I'm not as familiar with neondystopia although I have seen their clothing article before. I think OP's idea would work better as a blog perhaps a community blog ala Popehat. There's more demand for content in the cyberpunk scene than people expect.

Glad I'm not the only one with 300+ tabs open. Hacker News really does not help with its constant barrage of interesting and often long form articles that I may not have time to read when I first encounter them.

The protagonists are not "punk" but to me the setting contains many elements that I would consider punk. The vast wealth gap, the abandonment of vulnerable populations and the areas they inhabit, and the seedy underbelly of the cities all lurk underneath the gleaming chrome and neon surface. To me this is the epitome of the genre, the incongruity between the powerful corps and their government puppets and the misery of the general population. GitS feeds the dream of super wizard class hackers and street samurai but also pays homage to the downtrodden masses left behind by progress. With a nice dash of philosophy.

Some people have unique situations and do not need the use of a kitchen at all. My diet consists entirely of bottled Soylent and protein bars. I never need to cook or utilize any other functions provided by a kitchen.

A malicious actor could add the dishwasher to their botnet and conduct DDOS attacks or distribute spam. You could also use the server as a proxy or as an attack vector into whatever network the dishwasher is connected to.
