Dear support
we do have an employee in Ukraine: Dmytro
he can’t access his slack account anymore.
Dmytro is living in Ukraine close to the border with Russia in Bakhamut (https://goo.gl/maps/EDITED) Ukraine.
Dmytro is a Ukrainian citizen who is living in Ukraine. We would love Dmytro to have access to slack again without VPN or similar.
Can you please assist us?
Best

Hello Daniel,
Paul here from Slack. Thanks for your writing in with your question, although I'm sorry for the trouble your colleague is having connecting to Slack. Can you please have this person reach out to us here directly at feedback@slack.com so we can investigate on their behalf?
We'll be standing by for their outreach.
Warmly,
Paul

Hello Paul,
I would like to continue the correspondence started by my management and clarify the point.
As Daniel mentioned in his previous letter, I am located in a town that is officially under the control of the Ukrainian government and has not been occupied by Russian military forces. Feel free to check the location via this link (https://goo.gl/maps/EDITED). My IP address is EDITED to make it even more precise.
I consider it to be genuinely unfair that Slack limited my access to the software considering my town to be a part of Russia or any other restricted area. This fact is offensive to me as a citizen of Ukraine and a part of the resistance to the Russian invasion.
I hope this issue can be resolved soon.
Best regards,
Dmytro

Hello Dmytro,
Thanks for letting us know. We'll review the information we have and will get back to you soon.
not really, in my experience on Upwork for 25$/hour you can't really find someone who is a competent engineer and also speaks solid english (no matter the country).
If you open YouTube in desktop mode (in the browser) and switch tabs, you can still play the video via the notification manager popup (not sure how it's called, basically when you drag down the top bar, there is still this sticky YouTube notification). This is how you can get free background play without 3rd party apps.
So my advice to non-FAANG developers: if you want to make development your career, learn to be bored.
is life at FANG really that different tho? Can't imagine that everyone is working on exciting stuff all the time. Would appreciate if someone could enlighten me.
It is impossible to run anything like Twitter in Germany without being sued into oblivion for defamation etc and get struck with criminal charges for something a user posted. Germanys equivalent of cease and desist letters (Abmahnungen) make running a big site with user generated content very unattractive.
The phone was released with iOS 13 which prominently featured enhancements to USB restricted mode[1] which was supposed to defend against GrayKey/Cellebrite attacks. Seems like GrayKey can easily bypass that feature. Does not really inspire much trust in Apples security team as the USB restricted mode was already a bandaid itself.
As can be seen in the code, the two targeted URLs are github.com/greatfire and github.com/cn-nytimes, which are mirror sites for GreatFire.org and the Chinese New York Times. GreatFire and NYT both use GitHub to circumvent the online censorship performed by the Great Firewall of China (GFW).
Escrow, funds are only released once the buyer confirms that he received the shipment. If you have a ton of outstanding orders, you are going to have a lot of funds frozen in escrow.
