I wish they had a few different options with better specs. Or maybe a shell with the case/fan/mobo etc.. where you can just add CPU/GPU/RAM. I'd love that, and would be willing to pay extra to get something a bit more modern.

I want a Steam Machine for my living room, but these specs are just terrible for 2026. According to Digital Foundry, this $1200 machine is worse than a $500 6-year-old base PS5.

There are just fewer highly polished Android apps vs iOS apps, and that's why I switched to iOS.

I bought JuiceSSH years ago on Android and it worked great, but I agree it's degraded, and I couldn't find an equivalent I liked.

iOS has multiple apps that beat JuiceSSH. I use Termix and it's really, really good.

I have a super high opinion of Valve. Sure, they have loot crates. But sensible people don't buy them. I guess you could blame them for having it in the first place. That's fair I guess. But I've never for a second considered buying any of that junk.

I just buy single player offline games with no IAP, and Steam is amazing. It's a million miles ahead of the competitors, and it's really surprising that EA/Ubi etc.. try to compete but don't get the reason they're losing. They screw customers and then act surprised that customers hate them.

yes. It's terrible. I can't believe it's taken this long to still be awful. The mix of Java. The awful UI. If you're on Mac/Windows, you should buy Office. And if you're on Linux, you should use OnlyOffice, or Google Docs

From the specs it's very annoying this uses a mini-HDMI. There's room for a full HDMI port, and it's such a waste. We all have dozens of HDMI cables at home, but zero mini-HDMI.

I'm sure it was a simple mistake. The fact that Immich competes with Google Photos has nothing to do with it.

I interviewed in 2015. The recruiter told me to read the Amazon Leadership Principles, but I thought it was ridiculous to prep for something so specific to a single company, especially as I was interviewing at other companies too.

There's a lot wrong with AWS (and it's got a lot worse in the last 3 years), but there's also a lot right, and there are some really, really smart people there, several of which have boomeranged (people who left and came back).

I remember when Google broke 911 calling, and decided it was ok to wait for the next maintenance patch to fix it. People could have died, but Google just couldn't hurry up and release an emergency patch.

Working at a company that did the same thing earlier, it's incredibly frustrating.

Fighting piracy is generally not worth it. Those people would never pay, so you're fighting to stop a pirate from using it, not to get them to pay. There's a big difference.

It does look like ST is lost here. They don't know where to go next. But I do like their Sublime Merge product. It's really good.

I worked on S3. It's not.

Dropbox Storage is a MUCH easier problem to solve than S3. They don't have the mix of high perf vs cold backup storage, so design is much, much simpler.

How do you plan to solve sync (bookmarks, history etc..) when going cross platform? iCloud makes things easy when it's just Mac/iOS, but that won't work for Linux.

I use Linux at home, Mac at work, and have an iPhone, and very few apps look native and work seamlessly across all 3.

I get it, but that's a hurdle for a lot of people. If someone is using this just once, they don't want to download an app. This feels like it will take convincing.

So many people I work with (in tech) were on Android for years, and all eventually switched to iOS.

My biggest issue with Google is they aren't convicted in anything they do. They just guess, or try 5 different things, and see what sticks. That makes it a mess for users, as the UX constantly changes.

I also can't understand why Google decided a circular face made sense for Wear. It's good for analogue watches, and garbage for everything else. Try reading a message where words are either cut off, or you're stuck basically using a square inside the circle. It makes no sense other than because Google didn't want to 'copy' Apple with the rectangular shape.

As a longtime Sublime user, Sublime really needs to step it up. Presumably their silence is because they're (hopefully) releasing something big soon.
