I agree. AirBNB was a mistake. It used to be that an apartment could be rented out for a decent amount above your mortgage, and expenses. But now there's no incentive to opt for long-term rentals, when a short-term one is more profitable.

Then the rich get richer and consolidate more properties under their companies, leaving the rest to fend for themselves. Think of people who had been making sacrifices so they could save up to purchase something, just to be outbid by collective groups of people just purchasing property to rent them out. There's no competing.

It feels to me that AirBNB hosts are an entitled group of people. They want all the benefits of renting out their place (in most cases, it goes against the original intent of renting a spare room, or family home), but want to make the experience less than ideal for customers. There's a multitude of rules, chores, invasions of privacy (Cameras, decibel monitors, et al).

These are supposed to be vacations, not a walking-on-eggshells experience because the host is constantly spying on you. If there's damage, submit a claim against the person.

I forgive, but I don't forget. One thing is to not let your emotions affect your health, but if someone has crossed a boundary that has made you weary of them... there's no reason to open yourself up to them again.

Lets be real... Chat GPT 4 has been out for an entire year now. Even Sora has been in their pipeline as well, it's now a year later that competitors are catching up or slightly surpassing them. But OpenAI has access to huge cash reserves, and an unmatched compute cluster with Microsoft servers.

This is a terrible idea, and already bearing fruits of disrespect. Once they get married, they're going to answer to each other, and treat you as a "3rd" wheel. He's a hypocrite, he says he's scared of the impact of the industry. But he IS the industry. He's gonna be putting set designers, sound stagers, et al out of work if he opts to use AI.

I disagree, it's about scale. Yes, for a big agency you might be a "small-fry", but for the client, it's their entire dreams and livelihood entrusted into someone they're paying.

It if was a small-scale, free open-source project.. yes. But once you exchange money for services, there should be a different level of attention.

The website is nice, but not $46k nice, the author needed to grow a spine. Just because you're a small client, doesn't mean you're not a client at all. This isn't charity work, but a paid service.

It's disrespectful to not only be placed on the backburner, but to be delayed months, and then have your budget inflated. Who knows how many lost potential conversions he missed out on because potential clients were turned off by the original page.
