Bitcoin is slow as well, unusable for payments. I still think Bitcoin is better than fiat because at least it doesn't require an ID to make a wallet and it's self custody.

Monero is the best crypto we have for currencies, though. And currency is the only value I see in crypto.

Back to Kagi 8 hours ago

Brave is as good results as Kagi for me and more anonymity-focused, because your searches aren't tied to an account, but I like that Kagi has a simple business model. I would pay for either if I could pay 3 dollars or less per month with Monero.

It's Roblox's responsibility to police their platform and the vast majority of bad actors use mainstream operating systems and mainstream services like Discord or Telegram. Clearly lack of privacy does not prevent crime as we can see on Telegram and Discord which are both not E2EE and yet have far more crime taking place then on encrypted alternatives.

Apple is very much like WhatsApp. Yes you cant perfectly trust their E2EE against state actors, but both in fact put some effort into making world have little bit more privacy.

They probably use E2EE just so they don't have to respond to court orders and such.

Mullvad, IVPN and Proton VPN are all trusted so choosing depends on your priorities with the small differences between them.

https://www.privacyguides.org/en/vpn/

Obscura by definition is the same or better than Mullvad because of the multi-party relay. Similar with iCloud Private Relay but that's only for Safari which is inadequate.

Nym looks promising but mixnets haven't been tested as much as the Tor network.

I blame them for collecting the phone numbers. They can already make sure you're running an apple account on real hardware. If they didn't collect phone numbers, they couldn't give them away, that's how all good privacy respecting companies like Signal operate.

Your comment isn't super clear to me, let me know if I misunderstood anything.

Yes there are still identifiers when using cellular data service, but they aren't connected to your phone number that you give out. Phone number gets a determined threat actor real time location, which is what I explained. Threat actor gets location from any carrier identifier. Cellular was built in a terrible way for privacy and security.

Android doesn't let apps see hardware identifiers if that's related.

Yes you're correct about having to trust Apple, but my point is that the way Apple is collecting all this extra info allows them to be compelled to hand it over. It's not about trusting Apple, it's about them following the law, which they will do.
