By far the most easy to understand explanation of iroh. I still kept thinking to myself "But why not just Tailscale?" when reading the other comments.
For me, I find more value in connecting computers together than connecting applications together, but I'm not building P2P apps...
Trash Guides [1] is your friend. Requires a bit of understanding whats going on but if all of these are going to be on the same computer this makes setting it up where data doesn't have to get copied around and waste time.
Kai Lentit on YouTube has been doing these mock interviews and some of them hit too close to home for me.
In Maryland I received my car's title, but it just shows the lien holder's information on it. I've never bought a car in any other state so my information is limited.
Is this different from what you mean?
You can, at the very least, retrofit the Juniper suspension onto the old car [1]. I haven't ridden in the new Performance yet, but I recently got a 2026 Model Y and the suspension is night and day compared to my 2024.
Also have your same concerns / complaints with lane change hesitation on the latest FSD in a Juniper Model Y; the car puts the blinker on and then acts super-duper nervous, almost as if it were driving for the first time.
That said, I only notice this behavior in the "Standard" FSD profile. When I bump it up to "Hurry" or "Mad Max" the confidence is 100x. Not sure why, exactly, but this may help you. The only downside is that "Hurry" loves to speed and "Mad Max" even more so.
It's not worth the hassle, but for the Windows machines in my house I set up Windows Server and have all the machines provisioned to an Active Directory domain where I turn off all the crap via Group Policy. You can get by with just editing Group Policy for a standalone Windows Pro copy, but for more than one machine I really didn't want to fiddle with having to update each machine's policy whenever Microsoft does something stupid.
I set up this exact combo (thelounge + mumble) for my friends last night after this news. It's not a complete 1:1, but I think it'll meet our needs. I'm going on a road trip and as a fun experiment I'm going to try to get Claude to churn on integrating Mumble into thelounge, somehow, to mimic the Discord client. I'd really prefer something other than Jitsi for screen sharing, since I'm a weirdo and don't like the UX of making a 'call' and much rather prefer the 'hop in' style VC like Discord or Mumble.
I see it similar to browser user-agents all claiming to be an ancient version of Mozilla or KHTML. We pick whatever works and then move on. It might not be "correct," but as long as our tools know what to do, who cares?
The latest Windows 11 Pro for Workstations builds appears to still support workgroup or domain joins without requiring a Microsoft account. In terms of the OS still shipping with crap, it is still there but since there's no Internet connection the crap is largely useless.
When using Claude Code in Ghostty on macOS, I get notifications if it is waiting on my input (accept changes, questionnaire, run bash command). Dunno what combination (if any) of my setup is needed for this to happen, but I certainly didn't configure anything special. Maybe I'm giving CC too much free reign to do things.
I'm a pretty happy Alfred user and the only thing keeping me off of Raycast is the VC funding, the AI-down-throat shoving, and I prefer Alfred's licensing scheme. Over 90% of my Alfred usage is to quickly Kagi search something, access clipboard history, or launch an app. I'm by no means a power user, and likely the new Spotlight in macOS 26 could meet my needs, but Alfred just keeps chugging away.
Mirrors my experience very closely. I really /want/ to use Linux since I really do like GNOME over the Windows Desktop, but if half my peripherals don't work (in this case an Elgato mic where my friends would say I'm either exploding their eardrums or too quiet, and my CREATIVE USB DAC) I'm just very demoralized when trying to use Linux to play games. I've tried the dual boot route, but a spontaneous Discord message of "hop in loser, we're going gaming!" turns into "let me reboot my machine and then Windows update and now my game has to update and it's now 10pm I have to go to bed" just makes me stick with Windows full time.
I'm still really rooting for the Year of the Linux Desktop, and it does continue to get better and better, but I'll keep rooting from the sidelines.
You can buy (almost?) any part directly from Tesla as a plain Joe [1], but you may need a VIN for certain parts (mainly the actual computers?).
In the event you want to DIY a repair, Tesla publishes all their service manuals they use at their service centers (e.g. [2]) and you can can even use the exact same software their technicians use for the deeper repairs, albeit at a price that is expensive if you're a plain Joe, but for a repair shop it doesn't seem to be terribly expensive.
On the topic of 3rd party parts, there isn't quite as robust a marketplace.

In addition to what others have said, a group of friends still plays enough League of Legends that I don't both dual booting. Also if you play RuneScape (RS3, not OSRS) the best 3rd party add-on, Alt1 Toolkit, only works on Windows.
These cars exist purely to be a rung in the price ladder to get you to spend $5,000 more on a car with actual features. They did the same thing with the RWD Cybertruck and I don't actually believe they ever shipped any before cancelling it.
If people do end up buying these I really hope they know what they are giving up. Something as simple as "seat controls" were deemed too costly and are now driven by software on the touch screen. I used to give the "software defined car" a bit of leeway on some of the omissions / transition to screen, but these cars are the extreme and I wonder if legislators are going to allow this. For example, I checked on the Tesla Japan and Tesla Europe websites and it doesn't look like these are for sale.
I keep Windows on my Framework (11th gen Intel) because using Linux on it makes it suffer from inability to sleep and terrible battery life. I've tried all the tricks to make Linux work and I've only eeked out an extra hour of use, if that.
I interpret it as "we won't kill our stuff if people are using it" which is a common enough practice we have webpages dedicated to the Google Graveyard and whatnot.
I don't think anyone has or is going to build a product and advertise "We plan to stop letting you use it (even if you want to pay for it!) whenever we feel like it." This pledge existing (which, I agree, is a 'trust me bro') tells me that there is a thought-out effort for the support window.
While poking around to see if HEY email is right for me, I noticed this at the very bottom of the FAQ page about expected support for HEY. I think it's a pretty noble goal to support your products until every other customer has left or until the internet is over, whichever comes first; I wish more services were like this.
This is what stops me from dual-booting. I don't enjoy Windows as much as the next person, but dual booting inevitably requires me to just duplicate logging into services and installing the same programs in both OSes, and then if I don't boot into one of the OSes for a while, I end up having to wait for updates (admittedly this is a much worse problem on Windows, but it's not not a problem for Linux) and any other things that need to happen just so I can use the computer.
For me, there's a small handful of games that keep me from using Linux on my main PC - RuneScape and League of Legends. RuneScape has some nasty bugs where the GPU isn't detected when running under Wayland, but if you run the game via Proton-thru-Steam you don't have access to all your accounts (I occasionally play on two). League of Legends just straight up doesn't work at all after they added their rootkit-as-anticheat, but it's the only way I keep in touch with some friends.

I bought a used Model 3 w/ FSD from Tesla and didn't regret it one bit. The car was not perfect (paint chips, windshield nicks, etc. normal car wear), but that comes with used car territory. I just went with Tesla directly since I've read that used car lots don't always do the best job accurately describing the software capabilities of the car (Intel or Ryzen / HW3 or HW4 / FSD outright or FSD subscription or not). If you're just interested in the car and not any of the software, then I'd go with whatever can get you a good price.
I ended up selling the Model 3 last November and getting a new Model Y when they had a 0% APR + FSD transfer promotion running. If you're interested in FSD try to find a newer Model Y (mid 2023ish) or any refresh Model 3 for HW4.
If it was usable with the apps I need today, I would switch back to Android 4.4.2 or iOS 6.1.3 in a heartbeat. Not sure how long I would stay before the rose tint in my glasses returns to normal, but I would certainly love to try.
Biggest draw for me with 1440p 32" is being the same DPI as a 1080p 24". I like to have one big monitor and then 2 small flank vertical monitors and having them all be the same DPI just makes headaches go away on every operating system I use them with.
You can! Thunderbird lives in a separate entity outside the main Mozillasphere called MZLA. I've given a few times in the past and use it for personal use, but my workplace recently banned Thunderbird.

Agree with sibling, security theater largely. I suspect the logic of banning is to stop recordings of conversations, whereas Bluetooth is just a protocol for sending data. Eliminate collection sensors and mediums for transmit are fine.
I did decide to purchase a Pebble Time Steel and a new battery alongside the Core 2 Duo. I hope that with Eric back in charge, the old Pebbles will be allowed to use the new app and hopefully get modern apps.
Would have been nice to see a model without a microphone. I understand I'm a minoritiy (workplace doesn't allow devices with mics), but being severely hamstrung with smartwatch choices that don't have a microphone is tough. Will still definitely buy one to support the project, and will eagerly watch (heh) for new models!
It does in a limited capacity now [1]. No, it doesn't auto-skip for you and it's not nearly as quickly updated as SponsorBlock itself is, but it works fine enough on the iOS app.
