Iboga is in a whole other class than classical psychedelics. It is actually similar to the dissociative Salvia, in that it binds to the Kappa opioid receptor.

At least one of the human trials is taking place currently. I hope good things come of it.

Can’t help but express sadness that it’s taken this long for serious adoption simply because there’s little money to be made in an unpatentable plant.

When I hear about Ibogaine I think of Hunter S Thomson spreading a rumour during the 1972 presidential campaign that Ed Muskie was taking it.
