This is a great idea! I haven't seen anything like it and also I think you kill of the forum to discuss photos and just attach comments to photos directly (sort of like instagram). Wonder if there is anything legally against chipping in like this?

The problem I have with mailbox is I feel that I don't get enough email in my gmail account to warrant even considering it.

Most people use exchange for email, I would love to see this support it.

You could look to replace either it's all about what you see as the problem. Does your spouse email you your shopping list? Do you email yourself a to do list or do you write it down in something like Remember The Milk?

Good question, would seem there are enough to warrant the creation of quite a few email products that are supposed to help you get to this "zen" like state.

We pay for Atlassian products at my company as well. I just call their business model the "trojan horse". I personally don't prefer their products but that is not to say they are bad.

Standard Atlassian MO for all of their products. They get you by having what would be a fairly small team in your company (usually 5 people) using their product and they are the trojan horse that then makes you end up purchasing a license.

With the way the checkout system worked wouldn't it have been better to just have developers note their intention to attend beforehand and then on sales day just hold a raffle (in batches)? Everyone gets an email when they are able to purchase a ticket (selected at random, hence the raffle) and you only send out emails as long as you have tickets available for purchase.

This type of process would control the flow of participants and keep the experience optimal for those going through checkout. I wonder if they are going to release any numbers for how many people were trying to hit the servers all at once.

This is the start of building technology that should hopefully satisfy South Korea's need for more vespene gas.

I don't actually think this is a danger of always on DRM more growing pains from an industry (gaming) that is learning how to build infrastructure that can scale to the size of their audience. Games are going to move toward becoming services just like any popular web app you use in your day to day life and I am not mad about that. I don't ever give a second though to whether Pivotal Tracker, Evernote or Flickr will be around in a few years, I accept the thought that may not be and use the tools because I enjoy them.

Gaming as a medium is trying to evolve and find a business model that can allow them to scale games to audiences that are bigger and trying to make them more complex without having to tap into all the power your computer / console may have. I have worked in the game industry and while I can support people being upset and I am more interested in how this impacts the type of gameplay experiences we have in the future.

I would be interested in seeing startups spring up around supporting cloud infrastructure and analytics for game companies. Sort of like an amazon for Game Devs

I know this is more of a filtering tactic but it seems so disingenuous. The biggest take away from the article wasn't dont go to college, it was find an environment that suits your learning style! College isn't right for everyone especially with student loan debt just about to eclipse 1 trillion dollars.

I really wish this was at the top. Everyone will fuck up at some point (even your best engineer). Whether you learn anything from fucking up really determines how bad your mistake was.

I wouldn't call this a flaw, it happens to batteries when they are exposed to temperatures like this. The gauge for the battery is accurately trying to show you your usage in real-time.

I bet he probably could have gauged it by jumping in the car turning it on and then starting the heater as well. His mileage would have declined before he even started driving.

Think of it this way, batteries always improve in 2nd / 3rd gen devices (look at apple) and I am sure that is what Tesla will start to address.
