It's a bit surprising since Apple Pay has, by far, one of the better UXs for a wallet application. Adding cards is really easy and paying with Touch ID is really simple and intuitive.

I imagined that once Apple finally came out with a mobile payments solution, Mainstream America would pounce on it, but it hasn't seemed to happen yet (or maybe ever).

Huge fan of Anker products. Really solid design + aesthetic (just wish their Micro-USB cables were a bit thinner at the plug). Monoprice is also very good when it comes to bang for your buck.

Flights actually cost that much - most airlines don't make much money on the flight itself [0]. A flight with an airline like Spirit or Frontier charge the bare minimum for flights without any extra frills.

I believe the whole goal around Robinhood is feeless purchase of stocks for beginners. Once you get past a certain threshold of dollars traded, Robinhood isn't the most effective solution. Other apps such as Edge, Fidelity, etc. give you more information as well as more purchasing options.

They hire a lot of technical consultants - Silicon Valley does as well [0].

The continued Asian investment in messaging apps like Snapchat (Alibaba), Kik (Tencent), Hike (Softbank), and Viber (Rakuten) is really interesting and makes sense. Apps like WeChat and QQ are extremely popular in the Asian markets, and they want to also have a foothold in messaging services in Western markets.

It's more of an all-around package/dependency manager. You could use bower as well, but npm seems to be a lot more popular.

Really big fan of the simplified permissions feature. It's something I've always wanted that Android never had. In addition to the supposed battery usage improvements, I'm looking forward to the new streamlined Android Pay features.
