What do you mean by this (genuinely curious).
Yep and they did not have insulation obligations and what not. A house was much simpler back then too (i think). European here so i could be biased.
About the drawing: i draw like this on everything too. Agendas, todo lists. Its not like i want to do this. Its to keep my fingers busy. I can attest that some people’s paper is filled with drawings ugly and nice. I cant speak about the authenticity of this document.
I agree. Put a modal in it, the trial period is over, contact x for renewall.
I call these problems ticking time bombs. This way business has a catchy name to use for the thing they dont understand, its also very clear this needs to be looked at.
This sentence does not make sense and still I understood it perfectly. It's the reason I love PHP over JS.
That would be awesome
Before internet times I had a girlfiend that i often called. That was our main connection. After our breakup(dont remember how that happened) I lost her number and forgot her last name. She could be dead and I wouldn’t know.
Only mildly related but just as annoying; old cars would have a dimmer button to reduce the backlight in the dashboard.
With all the screens in midern cars, even the minimum brightness is too bright for me driving in the night.it wont let your eyes adapt to the dark.
My last Hyundai had a moon button to turn off screen but that was an exception ithink.
I have driven hours with a cloth over the screen of my skoda octavia in the night.
Please let me turn off the screen for dark night driving, thank you.
Roman aquaducts come to mind
Recently there was a study on here that said the sun is good for you. And its effects were underrated.it threw a shadow over big pharma because 1 in very many gets skin cancer.
In some sports it is also a saying that you improve your game drastically the moment you start teaching. I think in some way in tech this is also true. Be a mentor !
Maybe everybody got their share. The materials had to go somewhere.
I have some of these.
Does self DDOS count?
We worked for Flanders radio and television (site was one of Flanders biggest radio stations). The site was a angularjs Frontend with a CMS backend.
The 40x and 80x pages fetched content from the backend to show the relevant message (so editors can tweak it). The morning they started selling tickets for Tomorrowland I deploy the frontend breaking the js fetching a non existing 5x page, looping to doing this constantly. in a matter of seconds the servers were on fire and I was sitting sweating next to the operations people. Luckily they were very capable and were able to restore the peace quite quickly.
And also (other radio station) deleting the DB in production. And also (on a Bank DB2) my coworker changing the AMOUNT in all rows of cash plans in stead of in 1 row (and OR and braquets and trust you know).
Contributing to Drupal modules or underlying (symfony and other) libraries is very fulfilling. And the conferences are really nice (and big) with lots of interesting people there with all sorts of problems. There is all kinds of difficult there if you like difficult.
Did you contact them?
Belgium also no refrigeration...
how did you find this, and what to do with it now?

Yes I will advise my client to change hosting to a proper hosting company.
I am interested in how it operates. Is it as simple as : "It runs the remote php file and adds whatever html?" or is there more to it?
I find similar functions in all the files (error_404/http_request_custom/getUseragent/getReferer/convertIpToString/getIp)
Thanks for your comment. I will advise my client to take a proper hosting instead. "Getting hacked" was only one of the many trouble we had (and I advised for other hosting in the past already).
haha no, the 1-5.php I found a long time ago (7 Yrs or something like that). I just kept it becaus I thought it was cool you could'n mail them (gmail thinks they are viruses). The drupal 7.22 hack was for a client who against my advice wanted to choose own hosting server (from a friend). So I'm not really bothered they got hacked. It's just cool dissecting this stuff.
I have also added somme older scripts I found over time in this repo: https://github.com/wouters-frederik/hack_scripts They are not obfuscated as much.
Airbags are do-gooder tech too, and they save lives. If implemented well it could be as hidden and unnoticed too. Saab and lexus use the described technique to monitor the driver in expensive models.
You are right, I am now much more attentive for this, but much people aren't.
<quote> The need for anti-sleep alarms is no joke. A poll conducted by the National Sleep Foundation showed that 60 percent of Americans have driven while feeling sleepy, and 37 percent admit to falling asleep at the wheel in the past year. In fact, sleepy driving can be deadly: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that drowsy driving causes more than 100,000 car crashes -- and kills more than 1,500 people -- each year [source: Fenton].</quote>
