It doesn't work in Firefox unfortunately. Spotify app just renders grey rectangle. It works in Chrome/Brave though. Just another example of "we only test in Chrome"/"works best in Chrome".

Cloudflare was down 8 months ago

2 days ago they had outage that affected Europe, Cloudflare seems to be going down the drain. I removed it for my personal sites.

Down for me in Serbia (Europe).

I can't load their dashboard and I can't access my site. It says "SSL handshake failed" but my web server has valid certificate and it's up.

Seems they have some issues again and of course nothing on their status page.

which had bidirectional data flow, and when one updated the store, it would trigger a change to the UI, which would change the state store, which would change the UI, etc.

You can hit the same problem with React. Circular state updates. State change->trigger useEffect->change state. I hit those when I had just started React.

100% agree.

Their actual AI is trash, it just there to pad their resume for investors.

I tried few days ago their AI assistant in help center and admin and it hallucinated answer to my question (pointed me to non-existing setting), when I told it it doesn't exist it just returned a bit reworded answer (still pointing me to non-existing settings section).

Use character composition. You then type those characters buy pressing compose key (I've set it to Caps Lock) and then sequence of characters. Much easier than switching keyboard layouts, and you can type other non-usual characters like °, µ, €

ø = Compose -> / -> o

é = Compose -> ' -> e

° = Compose -> o -> o

µ = Compose -> m -> u

€ = Compose -> = -> e

Why Clojure? 1 year ago

Why did you move away from go? I don't use it, but seems like productive language, being simple, fast to compile and performant.

I migrated from Arch to Debian.

It just works. It's stable, I don't need to worry about breaking updates and changes anymore. I'm at peace for at least 2 years.

And all the software I care about have their own deb repos or are self updating (Firefox, Chrome, VS Code, Cursor, Signal, Slack, etc), so I always have up-to-date versions. There is flatpak as well but I really didn't have any need for it for now.

It's the best combo, stable unchanging base and up-to-date apps.

Bitcoin is useful commodity, it's used for money laundering, sanction dodging, various criminal activity, etc. It infinitely more useful in modern world than gold for example.

Founders can self petition

Wait, so I can just open LLC and get H1B visa for it? There have to be conditions and limitations, otherwise it will be misused.
