This is solid step forward for ThorVG
Nope, that is completely unnecessary to me nowadays. No need for extra storage, m headphones are wireless and the possibility of AI will make me so much more productive. You need to update yourself sir.
Earlier this year I wanted to practice my JS skills and needed to send some F*ck cards to my friends. So I built https://thefuck.cards
It's a little web app where you make the crd to your taste, address it and once generated, you can share it with anyone.
Solved! thanks for letting me know
My bad, I didn't even realized I was hijacking the back button. It should be fixed now. Thanks for all the comments!
That's exactly it. Dumb mistake from my Javascript n00b skills. I'll fix it ASAP
Whoops! Sorry for the music! That's a little easter egg. It's the intro music for my podcast called Oh Fork it! I made a special little easter egg for our fans if they want to create "fork" cards
Thank you, I honestly haven't noticed I was hijacking the back button. I'd like to apologize to everyone for it. I'll fix it ASAP. Thanks for all the good feedback!

You can tick multiple boxes, make the message however you want
It's resolved now. It's a Firefox bug that has a workaround. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9604982/backface-visibil...
Thanks for the feedback. I had a similar bug to what you describe on older versions of Safari. I'll test on Firefox to see what might be going on with the backface visibility.
Once again, thanks a lot
One I just launched, for fun and maybe profit?
Go make one for a friend (or enemy)
This has been around for yeeears. Why is it news now?
Funny how every some years a young developer comes and does the same again and again. It's always fun to watch. It's even better that HN hasn't changed in all this time. I don't even ever go to HN, I just read it on my RSS feed.
I'm recently using Raindrop.io precisely because bookmarking is terrible in browsers.
I want tags, and better search and classification, and previews, and so much more.
Raindrop does all of that and works very well
I lost my brother in 1999.
I was 15, he was just 5. He was fine, healthy and then got chickenpox.
He was doing fine and in a matter of 24 hours he was gone.
I miss him a lot… it was extremely hard. The missing part never goes away, but it does get better, little by little. Honor their life, remember them, live a life that would make them proud.
Talk to them when you're by yourself. They somehow still live inside you.
The pain feels like it will never go away, but it will, I promise you it will, work on letting it go. They would want you to be happy.
My podcast. Similar to ATP but in spanish and a little more broader-spectrum > https://ohfork.it
Apple 2019: Siri remind me to call mom when I get home Linux 2000: …
Apple 2019: Use my iPad as a secondary screen wirelessly Linux 2000: …
Apple 2019: AirPlay to my TV this content Linux 2000: …
Apple 2019: Sync my contacts, notes, calendars, wirelessly with all my devices Linux 2000: …
Can we stop being ridiculous now or do I have to keep lowering myslef to the stupidity of the writer of this?
If you speak spanish and want a fun podcast about tech insights, pop culture, philosophy and overthought analysis on simple things I love listening to Robot: https://revistaelrobot.com It's fun, entertaining, they have over 170 episodes and more than 3 years running on a weekly basis. Really enjoyable.
There's also a big thing where WhatsApp is way ahead of WhatsApp:
Multiplatform: You can use native telegram apps in iOS (both iPad and iPhone), Android, macOS, Linux and Windows. That's huge compared to WhatsApp.
Also, Telegram is not as dependant on the phone number as WhatsApp is. Once you have a username it becomes easier to set up new devices.
I've been an employee for like 20% of my career and a the rest I've been a freelancer.
I never worked more than 4 hours (of real work a day). There's the occasional super productive day where I have done over 8 hours of productive work, but that's the exception, not the rule.
I usually work around 3-4 hours of productive work daily. Heck I'd even say 20%-30% of that time is not even productive (meetings, emails and necessary yet unproductive things).
When I worked for companies doing 9 to 5, I wasted a looot of time doing nothing: reddit, fb, and stuff. I also recognize that I need that distraction to do some real productive work.
I'm very fast and productive when it comes to actual work, but if I don't get the procrastination time then I just become a blurry mess of a brain and take 10 times longer to do the same things.
