Maybe a more secure alternative to iframes can emerge. Something like Chrome's WebViews.

Even though as of right now native browsers can intercept your data as well, it's a matter of trusting the tool.

I think it blends in well with the nature of Facebook comments. Most of the comments are quick observations about a post. So it's better to absorb the relevant observations first then continue reading if it sounds interesting. Plus the reply feature fixes any chronological issue.

This would actually put them head to head with Google on the street navigation front. One advantage of Waze is how the routes are dynamically updated by it's own users.

It really isn't. And dropping 1.5k on a .com isn't either in my opinion. Web application markets are evolving, people will look for a product name, not a url system that's not even relevant to a user, unless it is for browsing files.
