But there is no way to know if their claims are true either. Your inputs are processed into their servers, then you get a response. Whatever happens in the middle, only Anthropic knows. We don't even know of governments are actually pushing AI companies to enforce censorship or spying people, like we seen recently at UK government getting into Apple E2E encryption.

This criticism is valid for the business who wants to use AI to improve coding, code analysis or code review, documentation, emails, etc, but also for that individual who don't want to rely on 3rd party companies for AI usage.

Just like OpenAI or Grok, there is no transparency and no way for self-hosting purposes. Your input and confidential information can be collected for training purposes.

Progressive taxes are usually one of the worst and attacks the success, it limits poor people to become middle-class earners, or middle class to get wealthy.

Taxes are already a certain percent. It doesn't make any sense to tax more or less percent to people over certain amount of money.

At the end, poor people dont want to work because they will lose all benefits and get taxed. Middle class people don't want to earn more than certain amount because they will get taxed more.

Because progressive taxes are reliant on certain income (value) or wealth, inflation makes people to pay more taxes over time.

I remember when my country did a massive reform to the judiciary, it was entirely chaotic for few months.

Under a certain problem you can always hire more people and expect that resolves the issue, but this goes against efficiency as government doesn't have accountability (just check US debt!).

Resolving an efficiency issue is always difficult and chaotic until it stabilizes, governments around the world are known for never updating their processes. They don't even have a database for Social Security!

The world already faced this kind of acts during the Spanish Flu, and CDC repeated the exact same mistakes of that time, considering we have better technology and information by that time.

The Wuhan lab research and blame to Chinese people was a conspiracy during COVID, and today we know how CDC was involved into the gain-of-function Wuhan Institute of Virology. Why did they negated everything when questioned?

This is actually a good idea. I do use this website to read items according to my job and personal interest, and I have zero interest to see daily posts about the Trump administration or US politics et all. There are lot better websites for political debate like reddit, X, Fediverse, etc.

I can understand some technology/hacking posts may be related to politics, it's inevitably true, but this is not even that.

First of all, the way CDC works, it's just a board of directors from many pharmaceutical corporations. There are known conflicts of interest here.

Secondly, USA is considered a very unhealthy in comparison to Europe and other countries, while that's mosrly related to FDA, CDC also plays a role here by promoting drugs/vaccines in cases you only need a change of habits (like eating well to minimize flu severity)

Third, the way CDC dealt with COVID was unacceptable, their mixed messages about facemask, social distancing, herd immunity, reapiratory machines caused many people to die, and not because of the virus necessarily. This is a 15k people agency.

And worth to mention their controversy to require social media companies to censor posts about Wuhan Institute of Virology, when we all know today it was true, and CDC was partially responsible of the COVID 19 crisis. Also their censorship of scientists who disagreed with CDC conclusions, and some of them resulted to be factual.

After all of this, I do think it's fair to reform the CDC entirely. The economic impacts of their mistakes destroyed millions of business and caused many people unemployed. Even today 2025 you see few large companies struggling or going bankrupt because of their debt under COVID.

You may think we had to do that to prevent COVID spread, but all current data says the opposite, and many countries who never took hard measures had same or lower spread than US. CDC had to rectify all of their errors.

I have many friends who lost their jobs, VISA or green card process, because CDC was incompetent to act against a virus they previously knew, and recommended things they didn't encourage in the past (like paper/cloth masks to prevent spread of a viral virus).

Apart from jokes, why appealing to victimization when you have internet trolls bombing your system?

Trolls will always troll, and it's idiotic to blame far-whatever stuff always. If you have an online platform, you should at least keep your site safe from trolls and spammers.

They should stop doing victim-hood things, recognize their site was attacked by internet trolls and fix that thing. Everyone who have online services (including myself) knows this is a common issue.

Our site have attacks from radical left comments instead, and we don't do this "oh no, political extremism is too far, hate is never accepted", instead, we just delete the comments, try our best to keep them out from our platform and that's it.

Trolls will post extremism from left, right, anarchist, porn, ads, whatever in order to disrupt services

That is a good thing, if we want AI companies to be competitive enough.

If you add regulations, people will use other AI companies from countries without them. The only result of that would be losing the AI race.

You can see this at Huggingface top models, fine-tuned models are way more popular than official ones.

And this is also good considering most companies (even China) offer their models free to download and use locally. Democratizing AI is the good approach here.
