More lies, I didn't say any of that... why are you fake quoting?

Here's Golda's famous quote again, study it, maybe you'll change:

“When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.” ― Golda Meir,

This isn't opening the csv file directly, it's importing it into an existing (though possibly not yet saved) workbook. I can attest that it works correctly though it is kind of annoying if you don't want to do more than just some simple manipulation.

Also I believe excel for mac either doesn't have this feature or it's not as feature rich as the windows counterpart.

I just think angering the people who are supposed to be caring for me is a great way to receive subpar care, I don't care how moral and "above it all" healthcare workers are supposed to be, at the end of the day they're human and if you tell them you don't value their hard work, they may just put in a little less effort than you'd like. (just like you might do the same for a boss who belittles you and refuses to give the raise you feel deserve).

As an example, in many countries where they have socialized healthcare, nurses and doctors do often go on strike, which has always resulted in worse care during those times...

Just to put it more succinctly: you’re in favor of angering all healthcare providers (doctors, nurses, etc) to make healthcare better.

I don’t know if the outcome you want is the outcome you’re gonna get with that strategy. Might want to consider the humans actually affected and how they might react instead of treating everyone as some faceless cabal of evildoers bent on pulling money out of your pocket.

What is your actual counterposition here?

That yelling fire in a theater is dangerous and that is quite literally what the NYT and NPR did.

The falsehoods they repeated caused immediate panic and rioting in many Muslim communities and countries, they’ve burned down synagogues and Israeli embassies over a false story.

my iphone 6s and 12 pro beg to differ. both saw serious drops in battery in pretty normal 10-15F chicago winters while I was outdoor ice skating or even just going for a long walk with the phone in my pocket.

In the timestamped video link shared downthread, the speaker does seem to strongly imply that gWorkspace doesn’t manage the infra, when he finishes explaining the migration he declares (around 55:18)“[…]we can focus on the business of gmail and spanner can choose to improve and deliver performance gains automagically[sic]” which would imply, to me at least, that it’s on GCP.

Not quite, the GP is pointing out that it's become in vogue as of late to express hate for the USA among leftist circles, those people will post the raised fist or w/e appropriate color to the SM profiles and do little else, but they all do express admiration for 44.

Vivaldi on iOS 3 years ago

Orion on iOS has addr bar on the bottom, also supports rich set of gestures for tab navigation, if you're looking for an alternative to safari on iOS I'd take a look at that. They also offer a mac option, no MS option yet.

My big issue with Vivaldi is the very noticeable lag in the UI compared to chrome/edge. every time I've tried over the last 3-5 years I've been disappointed and switched back to chrome, I wish I could switch to FF, but I have a few extensions I can't do without

That they aren't even interested in that model is because they're in a Faustian bargain with cellular carriers to drive device renewals and post-paid plans.

I like your idea but in the US at least most mobile carriers actually don't encourage yearly upgrades as they force you into a multiyear contract for your phone to get "the best deal". In fact, currently both verizon and AT&T have 30+ month payment plans for phones so you're locked into at least 2.5 years. consequently, most people hold on to their phone for 3 years now.

Off topic but: currently needing to use autocad for a work project, any recommendations for learning autolisp or w/e the scripting language is? I was having trouble finding a good resource for this, seems like everyone just knows it and the only way to learn is to have good enough Google-fu to find the forum post that fulfills your criteria. And hope it’s not out of date.

Ah yes, because operating it as a national service is really gonna make it sooo much better…

Removing all incentives is surely gonna make people want to do their best.

You know many counties originally had only a single or two nationalized airline and all of them were such money drains that the governments were all forced to privatize them to keep them afloat.

My understanding of the previous NN rules was the exempted mobile anyway bec they called it necessary network management to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. So unless they also change that (which is unlikely) these rules won’t really fix or change anything, except possibly introduce regulations that will either a) push some polical agenda, or b) create a higher regulatory burden for small players and prevent new entrants.
