@jenniferDewalt, can you describe your typical day of working on this project? For example, there are many threads about not being able to find time to get side projects off the ground, how did you do it? what did you have to give up to get it done? example of daily schedule? Thanks!

> For local storage, a medical institution can say the files don't exist or are inaccessible. This option doesn't exist for online records.

I'm not sure if that's a good example of why local is better than online, since by stating to the courts that something doesn't exist (when in actuality it does)is lying to the courts...I'm no lawyer, but I'd imagine that doing so is punishable. I think the benefits of online medical files far outweigh the offline component for many reasons.

woot! I got accepted! flying in from Calgary! Looking forward to meeting more people down there...my first time, not sure really what to expect...

Also, I'm flying in with my fiancee, anyone here have recommendations on where to stay? we also want to hit up the outlet mall somewhere around there, and obviously downtown SF. We're not sure if we should stay in downtown SF, or by the airport? obviously price is a factor..but so is transportation since it's a 2 hour bus ride to Stanford from the hotels in SF, but everyone is telling us not to rent a car?? Any advice from people wiser than myself would be appreciated!

My team and I have been hammering away hard on this concept and we're trying to get some customer validation. If you can visit our site and give us some feedback it would be greatly appreciated it!

I know someone earlier said this program isn't available to non americans, but is there some special policy set up for Canadians (since we're so close....and have been bffs for so long! :D) Myself (web applications developer) and my gf (band teacher) were thinking of throwing in an application, but if Canadians also don't qualify then there's really no point?

Very cool article!

I've dabbled with Flex a bit, but never thought of using it with facebook. Although, a problem (perhaps just due to my inexperience with Flex) was to keep my code object oriented and to be able to separate it easily into modules...
