You are right. Also take a look at the development of tablets.
In the beginning they were small low-res tablets. But people wanted a bigger screen -> bigger tablets with high-res screens. But people hated to type on the screen -> keyboards added. But people hated to hold it all the time -> stands are added. And suddenly it is looking like a laptop.
I think there is a reason why Laptops and Desktops didn't change that much in all those years.
I don't think the feedback of the servos will detect a human body part. These servos are very very strong. Maybe when it hit the concrete it will skip a step noticeable in the feedback but that's about it.

I think it's very scary standing next to a moving robot that close. It doesn't stop when you get in the way. Hope someone is holding a emergency stop button.
Maybe a stupid question: but do you need iTunes to install an .ipa file? I've seen some programs that can just install these files on any iDevice without the use of iTunes.
And isn't Xcode and an Apple acount enough to sign the app?
I can open a program in my quick-launch-bar with one click before you even typed the first letter of that program. Maybe it's not a design feature, but it gets in the way.

This might also be a font-issue. Most of the time websites embed different font-types like eot, ttf, woff and svg. But some types lack font-hinting. It depends on the order in the CSS file which supported font browsers will use.

I know a lot of companies just keep your account including your password in there database while you removed your account.

They also started looking at content above the fold and also monitor request time vs page loaded time for a while. I think it's great that Google is starting to monitor the user experience. It will keep people from building Javascript bloated sites that don't respond well.
I hope this isn't becoming a trend, but lately I see a lot of responsive sites that don't respond to user input. Maybe a little force from Google will stop this trend.
Also note that SVG logo's are rendered far better than a scaled down pixel version. I tried a lot of different reduction methods but the SVG version was always "sharper". Just include it in your image-tag: <img src="logo.svg" alt="my logo">
I think you can use a background image as fallback.
I think this is very bad, security wise. Take this URL for example: www.paypaᥣ.com Ofcourse it depends on the font used and the characters chosen, but you can trick people into opening a site they trust.

There is nothing strange going on around the 20 second mark. The sun is very low and the wing is almost aligned to the position of the sun. You can also see the left tip is bended upwards, so the guy is clearly running around that tip. But because the lens is zoomed in it's a little hard to see the actual depth.

IMHO he is flying. With a kite like that and a little running speed you could generate enough lift. But I'm not sure if the flapping helps.

At work we always use Windows Server Edition as workstation OS. I must say that those Server Editions are very good.
So if you don't like the bling just don't use the Consumer Preview but install a Server Edition instead.

I don't agree with PG when he is talking about Apple. "None of them are run by product visionaries" is simply not true. Steve Jobs had great respect for companies like Sony because there are product visionary companies. Sony, IBM, Philips, and a lot of others, all companies that gave us great products we now are using every day. But it took years to get there.
E-ink for example was created in 1997 and is still in development. But we all know e-readers. A great example of a visionary product imho.
