Why does the perspective of the drawing grid appear to get wider as it gets further away?

edit, to answer my own question: it doesn't get wider, it just doesn't shrink into the distance either. It still feels odd not having perspective.

As a developer using Visual Studio in my day job for the past six years, I simply cannot get a hold of Eclipse. I have tried repeatedly, and failed because it is so very clunky, slow, and unintuitive. Have recently been playing with IntelliJ, and think I will stick with this for the time being.

However, of course, Visual Studio with Resharper has just spoilt me rotten, can't expect that environment from every IDE.

Hmm, I find the double-click-to-delete feature unintuitive, and too easy to delete elements accidentally. I was clicking some text to edit it, and ended up deleting it by mistake.

Otherwise, great tool!

Hotmail, despite improvements, is still terrible.

The login page has a session that can expire - if I haven't logged in within five minutes of opening the login page, I get thrown backwards again for session expiration. Sometimes I consider not bothering attempting to re-log in.

I employ a similar tactic, and I can't recall ever one single site that I use changing its name. If it happened, I would then just change the password to reflect the name change, but it would be so infrequent that I'm not worried about it.

Last time I downloaded Wikipedia, it was 4.5GB. If I were to knock up this hack, I would definitely scrape pages instead.

Further to other replies, I also find that the mental shift between languages is always a gear change that slows down development. Especially shifting to your SQL brain.

The expected behaviour is that navigating away will not submit the data. That's pretty much consistent across all interfaces I know, with the exception of saving as draft, which still does not "submit" the data to the human recipient on the other end.

However, I do agree that clearing the message can have its uses, but as it's a secondary action, it deserves a far less prominent position for the button (e.g. maybe as an option on the long-touch menu, but at least not where you'd expect the Send button to be). On this app, it's in the primary action space and doesn't ask confirmation before wiping your message.

In Messaging on the Facebook app on Android, you have Send on the left and Clear on the right. Gets me far too often, and it's just not even necessary. If I don't want to send what I started writing, I simply hit back. Hate it.

Regardless of Add-on start-up speed, I found annoyance with Firefox itself. Occasionally on launch, I would be asked whether I wanted to install or skip updates to my Add-ons.

I found this process of having to choose to install or skip to be too much of a distraction, killing my flow when I was "in the zone" and wanted to look something up fast.

For this reason I stopped using Firefox and have been happy with Chrome ever since.
