If you are the person this happened to file a complaint with the United States Postal Service office of the Inspector General. As they used USPS this would actually be mail fraud something the law enforcement arm of the postal service has jurisdiction over.

This seems like it would be considered mail fraud, and as UPSP was used they have jurisdiction to investigate it. I'm not sure how serious they will take the case however.

I used to be on Linode... then one of their techs tripped on a power cord causing a significant outage in a data center... and no I'm not joking.

Nothing amazing about this... the national weather service has been doing this already for about 2 years on their website.

I've been using this for quite some time... works very well. I only will fly one or two airlines, but I still use Google Flights to compare days, and departure airports because its so much easier!

I reached out to Emily Linnert, one of the real journalist who's photo is being used on one of the sites and shes replied. Her (or her station) is taking legal action.

I tried messenger and hated it, I don't want to see bubble's popping up ontop of everything. Might quit using facebook all together on mobile if this gets more intrusive. I already hate the pop up requests to download messenger.

Oddly enough Google is throwing an error on that file.... to many people downloading the file recently.

Companies recycle code all the time for other projects... in fact I've seen it written in a lot of contracts the the company that wrote the code owns the code and they just license it to the client.

I use Google Drive to back up my stuff, makes it accessible on my phone, other computers and through a web interface on any internet connected device. I however don't have the data collection that you do.

I've only had very minimal issues with S3... one of the things thats holding me back from switching to a cheaper provider from Amazon is if its not broke, don't fix it.

As someone who comes from the "gifted side" of the Autism Spectrum, its not that great. Having a brilliant mind is a great gift - but to be honest I would rather be of normal intelligence and be able to better understand how to be social than anything. Whats a brilliant mind going to do for you if your alone? Humans, even autistic ones are social creatures and require social interaction.

I do also agree with other posters that Autism diagnosis are on the rise due to a higher push for screenings of children, and awareness of autism. However I do think it still is possibly on the rise.

Aspergers is now Autism. I'm mixed on this, as even Aspergers has a spectrum. I've seen people with Aspergers that are near normal functioning, and those that are completley fixated on Star Trek to the point thats all they care about. I've also seen non verbal classic autistics hold down employment in a competitive employment atmosphere. The aspergers vs classic autistic has nothing to do with functioning level, it has to do with verbal delay (or it used to - its now the same).

I think if it was a successful hijacking we would know by now. The hijackers would of made demands by now if they kept hostages, or taken credit for it and named whatever offended them causing them to do it.

The password system also has no login attempt counter... so basically you could bruteforce all you want according to my brother whos a student there.

My father and mother work at this University. The same login gets you into email, that gets you into payroll and all other employee areas of the employee website. So if the attacker was able to get the login and password through whatever means it would make any sort of email confirmation useless.

As far as the WMU police investigating this I think its a bit of a conflict of interest as their system was hacked and they will likely blame the 2 employees who lost their paychecks as its in the universities intrest no to send out more money.

I'm not meaning to gripe, and netflix is still worth the few bucks a month... but it seems like the service is declining. From content losses to constant buffering issues it often leaves me wondering if i should continue to subscribe or just use other means of getting content.
