This is the way. The 10G cards are ancient and hog all the PCIe lanes.
I’ve had the best luck with Mellanox ConnectX 4 or 5 cards. The 5 can happily run 25G on a modern lane constrained system.

Lower cost printers are absolutely using LCDs with an LED UV light source. These resin curing printers are pretty darn cheap as well, and have a ton of resolution. They also excel on volume as they do expose the entire plate at once and don’t require scanning a laser around.
The material you get out of such a printer is of course entirely different from an injection molded part.

KiCad is getting better and better. At this point Altium is copying features _from_ KiCad, so you know the competition is real :).
Altium is still a Delphi-ish program, though with lots of things now just compiling to .Net. The core layout package has always been solid with a very small core developer group running it which is really more what its known for. The library management parts with collaboration are actually getting a lot better (ECAD<->MCAD, etc).
Altium gained tons of weird stuff with a super weird push to "FPGAs for everything", a giant off-shore (not Australian or Carlsbad) development team, and... all of that crash and burned and no actual customer actually understood what was happening. Much of that legacy is still in parts, but most of the features have been removed by now.

Do realize that keyboard-sized PCBs will be expensive in single quantities past the design stage as well.

If you've ever had a run in with a piece of software called Ultra Librarian you'd probably think highly of KiCad :)
There is a market of freelancers who do this, but the cost is probably not what you are expecting from the software market.
As a former EE and PCB designer, you never use a vendor PCB library, especially one that shipped with your software.
From a software engineering standpoint, I realize this feels crazy, but its pretty much par for the course. Every organization develops their own libraries for parts and processes their vendors may use, and while there are standard size parts, there is enough variance that it doesn't really make sense.
"Re-implementing" the standard library is sadly par for the course.
Developers use state machines a lot more than they would admit to. Often code would be more readable if the state machine was succinctly defined.
To add to all the comments here: the range of physical colors a monitor can display intentionally also differs (a low gamut, sRGB gamut, or one of several wide gamut standards). The video pipeline sends just 8 or 10 but values at the display, but the actual color seen can differ dramatically.
This is assuming all the content is sRGB, which is not a safe assumption especially if you care about color management to begin with.
