"the perfect place for people who enjoy a small social circle"

I think this is absolutely spot on. I'm pretty surprised about this line criticism from this forum. Nerds (or "hackers" in this case) are a generally introverted crowd, no?

It's not a good city if you're a brogrammer who wants to party like a rock star every night. That's totally fine by me. :)

Why do things have to be boiled down into winner-take-all narratives? I feel that the public has no capacity for nuance anymore.

Look, the tablet has its place - usually situations that don't require high-bandwidth HIDs such as keyboards. The computer user of the future will have many devices spanning many different form factors. It's OK.

Are you kidding? India and technology are highly related.

I know I won't be travelling to India on business anymore because of this. I don't want to be arrested.

I would like to think they'd annihilate each other like antimatter and antimatter. Microsoft tried to smother OSS on many occasions, both directly, through FUD, and by proxy (SCO). Embrace extend extinguish. Steamrolling Windows-only solutions over standards. They just killed patent reform efforts.

It just seems like they embody the opposite of Mozilla organization's ideals.
