Yen is the equivalent of cents, not dollars, thats why the confusion, yen doesnt have a concept of 100 cents=1 xxx. In Rupees case it is an equivalent of dollars, 100 paisas = 1 Rupee.
So in this case 60x is a reasonable assumption except not including the Purchasing Power Parity.

Its just a numbers game, the universities are not even smart enough to increase seats in a country of 1.2 billion.

I agree with you. IITians are not good at fundamental science for which nobel is awarded, otherwise they would have gotten it by now.
Sure they do, that is why there is not a single nobel prize won by an IITian when ten Indians have a nobel prize.

Not saying it should produce nobel laureates. All this talk about as if IIT is the only place in India, when the real work and research is done by graduates of other universities. And nice cop out saying engineering is not science.
Yet 10 Non-IITians from India seem to have received a nobel prize.

The same people who love Amazon are the same people who hate walmart and complain walmart is putting local businesses out of business. Though I appreciate their efforts on this(this is the same company who did the nano), it would be interesting to see their solutions for the hot climate in India. A mobile home could be built within that cost in India, lets say like a trailer in the US, but I wonder if anyone can live inside a pressure cooker in the hot climate. The air-conditioning alone would cost a significant amount, not to mention electricity, while a mud hut provides a better solution for the extreme hot climate. Though if it is successful, would change the landscape.

It can't. They still have to deal with acquirers, credit card issuers, and banks. No escaping that.
I am aware of how electronic badges work and that should keep things in check. Worst case they could ask for their id. My point is the electronic system does keep things in order, so why the color? Maybe they should give violet badge to the 15 people working on the search engine. And similar color to different teams that way it is easier to identify.
Why do you need security guards to enforce when your badge is electronic(RFID). You swipe your badge everywhere you enter(including cafes inside buildings for which you swipe your badge to enter), especially in a company that is tech oriented. I dont think anyone with a white badge enter without swiping.
If its not a class system, whats the need for color coding badges? Don't you think an electronic badge will prevent and authorize access no matter what color it is.
You would think an electronic badge would still prevent access no matter the color. But then it would be too difficult to feel special or discriminate.
Thankfully the fortune 500 company that I work for in Bay Area doesn't have color coded employees. I heard Yahoo does the color coded employees and actively discriminate as well.
It doesnt matter. I want more things to carry in pocket to feel cool and call it disruptive.

Please stop this IIT is so awesome talk, its great but not that great either. Do an analysis of the schools IIT professors graduated from. You will be surprised. I actually did this by going through the horrible(whats that IIT students are genius?) IIT Chennai website. Around 85% or more graduated from a non IIT pathetic universities that you talk of. That is a totally different discussion. The title of this article is misleading since the exchange that they are creating for supposedly, value investing, doesn't really allows any value investor now, does it? Other than of course institutions.
Actually since it is aimed at institutional investors such as mutual funds, hedge funds, pensions and endowments this will force you to buy mutual funds instead of being an individuall long term investor.
Can somebody tell me who the target market for Square is: - For brick and mortar stores, obviously this is not the answer. - For payment to friends online transfer is far easier than carrying hardware in my pocket. - For online stores obviously there are many choices and many of them better. Is there some other advantage to Square that I dont understand?

The companies that you listed in the last paragraph, did do things differently at one point in their history. Now they have become bloated. What makes you say toyota, apple, and google will remain exactly where they are in 15 years.
