I would hazard a guess you could make 99.5% of transactions with EFTPOS in NZ - the exceptions might be a few vendors at farmers markets (most take EFTPOS), sausage sizzles/ad-hoc fundraisers, fruit honesty boxes on the side of the road, etc. Maybe only 85% would take credit/debit, though.

From my experience in sydney/melbourne more places take credit/debit than NZ but also more places are cash only. Not as much penetration for EFTPOS.

You can move state around with `terraform state mv`. It's a bit tricky and has some gotchas but works (which applies to terraform as a whole really)

Like the other reply says, not necessary unless you use deduplication. Mine has 60TB/16GB with no issues; I reckon it would be fine with half that.

Works for taxis too. An acquaintance of mine has regularly (once or twice a week) had to travel from his home to the airport, about a $100 fare each way. He's used the same taxi driver for about 10 years - knowing that either this driver (or someone the driver vouches for) will be on time every time.

(taxi expenses are covered by his work but personal car travel is not, so he doesn't drive, go figure)

I get 10-12mbit pretty consistently on unmetered ADSL2, and did at the last two places I lived as well. The couple of people I know with VDSL get 30-40mbit. A couple of others with UFB get the full 100mbit. Perhaps you're just really unlucky. This is all across auckland with telecom, vodafone, slingslot, orcon.

Can't you do this already? Maybe you just need to update your dropbox client.

Mobile phones absolutely do interfere with aeroplane systems. You know how your radio goes dit dit-dit dit when you change cell towers or receive a message? Happens with aircraft radios too. Extremely annoying when your passenger ignores your request to turn off their phone. VOR, ADF, NDB and ILS also all use radio waves and could therefore also be subject to interference.

I would say you're right for most cases. But not for gamers or "power users":

* Game developers constantly up the ante. Try playing Battlefield 3 at 2560x1440 on Ultra on your 2008 PC and see how you go, if it even starts at all.

* Virtualisation has resulted in consolidation (for me at least). Whereas I might have had to keep around a Windows box to do testing, now I just fire up a VM on my laptop.

That seems really odd. You might consider opening a debit card at a better bank? My bank charges 2.5% with a minimum charge of 1 cent.

Browse around iTunes until you find a track that doesn't quite fit horizontally. Click the "zoom" button, to make the window big enough. Oh wait, it doesn't.

If by "developers" you mean "Apple" then yes. I never use the "zoom" button because it exhibits apparently random behaviour.

Great! Do you plan an having a hosted payment page ala DPS or PayPal though? I'd much prefer never seeing my customers credit card number at all.

Also please let me know if you're planning on adding support for NZ too, the situation for accepting payments here is just as dire.
