No, fortunately I don't. The concept of masses as ruling body is flawed because individuals constituted masses and masses are moved by only few individuals at the end as was proved by history and as it was objected before it was taken seriously. It's a naive concept. Tell me, how in the real world does masses actually decide correctly without being first constituted by rational individuals? And if you put individual before masses, you are not talking about Marxism.

Marx theory is really deeply flawed, because he regards masses as controlling units of society. But in real world, who controls masses? Some individuals because masses can not decide for themselves without individuals deciding for themselves. The idea of masses act as single unity without influence of only few gifted individuals does not stand.
And it's utopia to think that gifted individuals are always nice people, which reality proved many times.
The time when it was possible to build simple application with good design and get tons of users is over. Today, a lot of people can do what the pioneers have done and get 0 users. I don't say it's impossible to get so many users as FB, but it's much harder. So Zuck was lucky to have the right solution in the right time. The bar for Zuck of today is much higher, simply because they aren't so "lucky" to live in the wild beginning of computer/ internet era.
Leading and trailing spaces because more than one username would look the same on the page eg. "user" and "user " which would confuse others when signing comments etc.
I am more attentive. You can start to hear bird singing, smell the wood or see the night sky. The difference is in the details; you can be astonished by the nature, explore it and so appreciate own life. And good diet is amazing.
Lately I climbed the tree, watched the sky and hills from the top, washed in the cold mountain brook. And I was grateful for every minute of my time.
So I have this site, where I ask users/customers for input and after I evaluate it, I don't reply to the no winners because I don't have time; I get like 300 responses. Hmmm doesn't sounds like the right approach for any business. Yes, it is "standard" industry behavior, but IMHO not the right one. I could change the qualifying criteria to get fewer and more qaulity inputs that I have more time for etc.
this implies that quite many applications would get interviewed/ founded if there wasn't so many of the good ones. And I think these applications deserve to be told so and the rest to be told the reason why they are not promising. Because they will learn more than from silence and it could be said in one sentence, couldn't it?
Imho 2d google map is superior interface for finding information. I don't need to move with my phone around to get information etc. Was it your need to be able to recognize buildings based on street-view, because you can not read it from map? Technically impressive, thumbs up.

yes and that brings me to other professions as in the film industry. E.g. this year the Academy Award for best Music (Song) was won by movie Once, which on technical and execution side looks amateurish compared to Hollywood blockbusters. In this case, the idea won Oscar.
I think to compare different kind of artist and their craft among themselves is valid.
I was thinking about music band metaphor. Like, they compose songs- what is for them better- great skills or great melody/text? I prefer great melody/text even mediocre played. And btw music bands often play in garages too :)

Matlab is actually high-level language so it is possible to monetize computer language.
I dont know. Market for this kind of computer language vs eshop solution and funding is very small in comparison. Market means someone will pay for using Arc.
Agree- very small market for Arc. I know hundreds of people who can benefit from Viaweb, tens of people who can benefit from YC, no single person who will use Arc.
