In case anyone else runs into this: the Stats section was not shown for me by default and I had to enable it in Settings.

Really great site though!

Quick suggestion: let us resize the channel browser when it's horizontal, and perhaps allow collapsing it altogether

I really wasn't a fan of the movie. The actual Backrooms were neat to see, but the plot was very meh.

Then again, I very much prefer the Backrooms stuff without all the, for lack of a better word, "plot" around it - monsters, human organizations, etc, etc. What's far more unsettling to me is the idea that the entirety of the Backrooms is devoid of life, and there's no "reason" for it to be there.

Well at least we got to the heart of the issue - it's too costly to try to prevent people from killing themselves. Truly perfect example of how capitalism views life.

Of course, that most people regret their attempt after being saved by those 10-20 cops is irrelevant, right? I wonder what the benefits to society of that person being alive come out to, vs the costs to save them.

Anyway, you've completely missed my point (twice, in fact), so we're done here.

It's not that odd of a take to recognize that the people abusing their power and those eating it up are both part of the problem in their own ways.

It's just a bit strange how 'everybody' doesn't seem to include me - based on my own experiences gaming over 20 years not lining up with any of this silliness - as well as others in this thread.

In any case, I don't think "not wanting to make assumptions about people based on little to no information" really counts as "very rigorous standards".

Do you and GP understand that it's not 1998 anymore and that many, many different types of people from all walks of life play games?

I'm very curious what you and others think the average Steam user really looks like.

When it comes to movies/shows, I generally just trust the listing; there's no real risk, particularly as I'm not a quality whore.

For games/programs, I'll mostly just check the download page to ensure it's from a verified, trustworthy group.

Mostly though, I've never felt the need to be as paranoid as some people suggest one must be when torrenting; despite doing this for 20+ years, I've not had any incidents since I was about 12 years old.
