It's a pity that Apple neglects its creative apps. I've been working on a video project using Motion recently, and while not as capable as After Effects, it's pretty serviceable and with some love could be excellent.

Very impressive. How are you managing to produce such a clean model without artifacts?
Nonsense. Ray Harryhausen's work today is still incredible, by any standard.
Please stop using AI for creative work. This is utterly abysmal.
That's because sandboxing is quite hard
colima makes it pretty easy, on macOS and linux at any rate.
Dammit! I live in Europe and the cyber truck isn't even available here..
Europeans are notorious for their good taste.
The thing about meditation is, if you're doing it, there is no "you" that it is either good or bad for.
Optimism in general is out of fashion, and pessimism is pervasive.
Hardly surprising given we are not collectively making sufficient change to avert climate disaster. There’s no negative bias or spin there - the majority of climate scientists agree that we’ve passed the tipping point.
It's actually not so hard for me to just not take part in social media
Unfortunately that’s not quite as easy for people in creative professions that must now use social media to promote themselves and their work.
OpenStack already exists
Photography also works, or hell you can even photograph birds.
What you're describing is really why the Backrooms is resonating with the kids today - the homogeneity of an environment and culture devoured by capitalism.
That the dogs are just about always subordinates and subservient makes the relationship easier to work
You've clearly never lived with a border collie.
It is much more than that, egalitarianism is fundamental to French culture.
I guess software licenses are meaningless now since anyone can decide their llm clone is not derivative.
Yes, there’s a huge market in the UK, Australia and New Zealand for low quality tea.
India, China and Japan are the largest markets for quality whole leaf tea. Tea bags contain fannings and dust, the lowest quality byproducts of tea production. Try a single estate TGFOP and you’ll never want to drink tea from a bag again.
Chinese tea is again a whole different world from Indian tea, and has a much broader spectrum of complexity. You could spend a lifetime learning about Chinese tea.
People still use tea bags even though what they contain is a byproduct of tea production and barely counts as tea.
Capitalism subsumes all culture, even counter culture, destroys its essence and commodifies it.
UC Berkeley just banned the use of AI for conceptualising, outlining, drafting, revising, translating, or editing student work.
LLMs to drive NPC dialog
Far more interested in dialog and characters developed by a writer - simulation is boring
It doesn't matter under Capitalist Realism, the banks were bailed out, the AI companies will be bailed out, and you will pay for it. There is no alternative.
I think a great example of what probably will happen is found in Suno, the AI Music thing. I don't know if y'all have tried it, but it now produces really good stuff.
Suno doesn't make music, it makes simulacra of music. Music is only made by humans.
The breakthroughs in mass state surveillance are coming, never fear.
It's comforting to know that Anthropic's most capable model, Mythos, is named for the Lovecraftian universe replete with horrifying evil gods with complete indifference to humanity. Nothing at all to worry about.
That's a process problem at your company - no developer should be proposing branches over 1k loc (or whatever your agreed tolerance threshold is) without a very good reason, vibe coded or not.
It’s not a matter of belief - cost of rent and food in Chinese cities are 50-70% lower than US cities. There are hundreds of sources that will confirm that.

China’s food policy is also well documented https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_policy_in_China
While that’s true, the Chinese government does also seem to be motivated to keep the cost of housing and food low for its citizens, and provide services and facilities for the public good.
House of Leaves form of hypertextual academic satire is so firmly bound to the written word that it would be un-filmable, but you could make a film from the Navidson Record (and it would potentially be much more interesting than Backrooms).
Showing alongside Obsession, another horror film made by a YouTuber.
