I would love to build a small physical device at my home wifi router level that detects these network patterns (certain IP addresses and data patterns). Then blocks those network streams. I think the correct fix is to intermittently block them so that the user gets a small drip and don't realize its broken so they don't try to find a workaround like turning off wifi.

I have a very similar issue and likely the same cause. What has helped for me: Cortisone shots (temporarily relief but not a fix), losing weight, core strengthening activities and switching to a standing desk 100% of the time. YMMV. 43yr old male, lifelong developer.

I’m amazed/skeptical that science could add something to millions of years of evolution and make it more efficient.
The app witch lets you command-tab to switch apps but it lets you choose any open window of any app. So if you have 4 separate terminals and 3 chrome windows and multiple word documents open you can scroll to the exact one that you like
Just my opinion but the fast.ai source code is very difficult to read.
This is pretty spot on. I was on the receiving end of this and it’s incredibly challenging mentally to work hard to give away 40% to someone that just split. The comment about not being able to raise money is accurate as well.
Sell your stake for a fair value and wish the new owner luck. You could keep a few percent of stock but not enough to deter potential investors.
My recent experience: Upwork is the best. 99designs is decent. Fiverr is bad.

I switched from a 6s to the SE 1.5 months ago and I love it. Works for everything I need and the battery lasts all day.
Who has actually run into this in practice? Though I’m sure a few people have I doubt it’s more than .001% of programmers or programs. And those that do run into it are probably aware of the challenges.
Unless I misunderstand it looks like its $45/month. Which comes out to $540/year.

I’m not saying I’m right or better but I feel like I have the opposite problem. I don’t do much research. I do the bare minimum to confirm whatever bias I started with and then just start executing. Usually works out well enough.
fast.ai is great.
I pay for zenefits. I have my own company and I pay myself a salary and zenefits takes care of all taxes and government forms. It’s not that cheap (I think $400 for the year) but I never have to think or worry about forms or taxes until I file my full taxes at the end of the year with my accountant.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time architecting my software to be able to set a flag and instead of processing a full typical run lasting several hours of compute it processes a subset in minutes or seconds. It’s not as clean as a Jupiter notebook but it’s much more repeatable than working in a notebook.
I have a hard time maintaining discipline in a notebook and therefore don’t find them very useful
Find a middle ground that won’t let you regret your decision. I tried this once and felt pretty good about the results.
