China is dependent on world exports for its future and seems to be trying hard to keep that going, particularly under Xi. It's the US that seems hellbent on breaking globalization.

Also, technological changes in our times are slow compared to the end of 19th century. Nukes are 60 year old tech and cheap drones are not particularly sci-fi tech machines.

They require a lot of computation regardless of whether this will take place on ASICs. China can do it, even if the chips are not the most power-efficient. They have built lots of electricity capacity.

Ultimately however, that just means that models will become dirt-cheap. The money will be made with applications built on top of the models.

"content" is meant to trigger the novelty reward , thats why we don't get classics among content creators. But i think we all agreed that AI has put an end to this content-monetization era.

I find it hard to believe. People literally copy-paste comments from facebook to those comment sections. It's no different in the end, the mainstream is awful and it's invaded every brain.
