If you can identify you're writing insecure code or building insecure apps you are just being lazy to do it proper way. Web security IMO isn't about learning a new thing, these are concepts that are part of the development flow.

I totally disagree. If you follow a avalanche of people and brands your timeline gets useless within an hour. Twitter is place to build a community that you want to be in and participate if you want to get max out of it. If one expects it to be a community he/she shall participate. Why would I expect Paul Graham to be replying me on Twitter for nothing (just because I follow him and mentioned him some non of his business comment) ?

I launched a turn taking two player real-time board game in HN 4 years ago, with zero returns so far. It took 3 months to build the web app, another 3 months for android app. But, lots of PR for the stunt. It is still up. 30K game instances so far and 3K players.

Recently I am having thoughts like should I relaunch this ? But won't want to do it without someone to look it as a business. This game feels like Chess but it is quick to learn, setup and finish.

Find out where you can contribute and collaborate on the process or better if you have managerial skills go execute the process.

For a tech product there is more to writing code. It's like if you have a blueprint of house engineers will build the house for you.

Learn to draft, pitch and execute that blueprint for your tech interest.

I've been working in Kathmandu since last 10 years. On average full time programmers here earn 10 times more than that. And for freelancers the average income goes above $2k/month. Parent charging $50 is probably a cost for small "task" of few hours.
