Yes, but it's been on my mind for a while ( ever since my feed has become populated with advertisements ). The NSA fiasco wasn't really the reason, but it definitely helped me conclude the time was now.

I'm an OSX user, but I just created a repository (on Github) and anytime I add new plugins/configurations I try to commit those changes...as I spent a good deal of time customizing my setup at one point.

You could create one for Windows & one for Linux.

on Mac 'On the Job' works pretty nicely, export pdf Invoices etc...

Sheesh! And that doesn't even come close to what some people pay. NYC > Manhattan. It's insane! I live 10 minute bike ride from Manhattan, and pay just under $500.00 a month w/ two roomates (GF and best friend) for the first two floors of a brownstone, plus basement and backyard. I've had about four apartments in the past 10 years in this range in my area, it really does pay to live just a little out of the way! I do pretty well for myself these days and am stashing around 50% of my income away. I feel like people who pay some of these whopping amounts of money don't even get to enjoy the true treasures of the city, and money is tied to everything. Stressful.

I've been looking for a solution for this, every time I had used 'nodemon' it couldn't handle the load, even if it was quite insignificant... perhaps I had misconfigured something, but I'm pleased to find this, good timing!

Totally agree, and they'll just be left in the dust while paying bucket loads for services that we can now acquire for greater deals less. At the end of the day, Amazon should have no problems finding clients interested in this service.

Yeah... no so sure about that one evo_9. I personally will not be buying one, but I'll sit back and watch them reel in a whole slew of new customers. There is a market for this product, and the price point may not seem appropriate to you, but when you look at the specs, it makes a lot of sense.

Perhaps you should create some competition? I'll lend a hand... ;)

They're obviously going to need to come up with much more money, but the fact that they have now purchased the land is a monster step.

Really psyched to see how this plays out. Especially since I grew up on the East End of LI and still live relatively close by.

I've started using HSL too. Paul Irish is right, once you start using it, it's really easy to grasp and use on the fly.

Completely agree. Perhaps I don't rely on the app as much as others, but I do find myself using it at least once a week. I personally haven't had any real problems since launch. But expected there to be quite a few hurdles at first. I'm an iOS user, but don't consider myself a fanboy. But I expect them to really push this and create something beautiful and useful over time, hopefully sooner than later. I'm anxiously awaiting.

Been a fan of Joey Skaggs for a long time now. First discovered his work in the RE/Search Publication "Pranks"... Definitely check that publication out.

As far as this article is concerned, this guy rubs me the wrong way right off the bat.. but I agree that the reporters should have done some fact checking, probably would have been apparent rather quickly something was up.

Could have something to do with the intensity of the storm we experienced here in NYC yesterday....

I second this. Especially with coding, I've found the answers to my philosophical questions, and my logic quandaries more than a handful of times.

Also, make sure you're surrounded by motivating people, or atleast people that get you thinking. I lack this sometimes in the work environment and it's a drag...

I agree with Paul in some respects. But I did feel that his analogy was a bit strange, although kind of creative.
