"Hezbollah only exists to terrorise Israel and it is their sole purpose." This is a very curious take, what makes you think a group of hundreds of thousands of people, investing so much time, efforts and resources, exposing themselves and their loved ones to fatal risks just to terrorise Israel?

That would be unreasonable, why would Israel compromise if they don't have any pressure whatsoever, international or internal. Especially with the current right wing dominance of politics in Israel and the foolish attempts at slow annexation of the West Bank.

The Palestinian's interests is into keeping and nurturing a strong resistance until there is a real support from the USA for a reasonable peace process.

I wouldn’t go as far as comparing Turkey to Russia. The recent Turkish elections have shown that the ruling Party in Turkey can lose key strongholds like Istanbul, this never happens in Russia. In Egypt, most contenders to the presidency are in prison now. Current president Al Sissi (a bloody dictator won by 97%) Erdogan om the other hand won by 53%. Putin by 73% while some major opposition leaders barred from running.

Turkey is often unfairly criticised by western media, which obviously prefers military dictators in power.

Your last comment about "the President thinks that high rates are part of a Jewish-led conspiracy to bankrupt Turkey" would benefit greatly from a reference or a quote, otherwise it is just as a good as propaganda. The apparent and most obvious reason for a president to not increase interests rates and to not decrease spending is the fear of recession. This is a controversial move but it has some interesting precedents: check the case of Malaysia after the Asian financial crisis of 1997.

I wouldn't really go as far as qualifying him as a successful politician for the simple reason that it not really challenging for dictators to consolidate power and build alliances using unethical means, like money and intimidation and in this case murder. For MBS his father is already the monarch of one of the wealthiest nations on earth, which I'm pretty sure helps a lot.

I have been learning French from the very beginning of my life, because my parents and everyone else considered that success in our country can only be achieved if you are fluent in it. Now I can hold a descent French conversion and I even did my engineering education in that language, but I never managed to be fully fluent in it. French is an interesting language, and I really enjoyed the countless Fantasy and sci-fi books I read, But I think I should have invested my time in learning English instead.

Hello, everyone!

I recently started this journey of learning robotics. For now it is only motivated by fulfilling a childhood dream, but I hope it will evolve into something bigger. Now, I decided to document it so I will force myself into commitment. I know it will be hard and long and I will want to quit, but the idea of other people following my progress, helping with their experiences, providing much appreciated critics and feedbacks will help me go further and push myself even more.

PS1: I'm also looking for learning materials, maybe good courses, books or articles.

PS2: please forgive my modest english, it is not my native or second language.

What? Seriously man! let me get it right. You think that people shouldn't be allowed to choose the Ideologies of their home country. That they shouldn't strive for their freedom and fight corruption and poverty. And you think that military coups and secular leadership persecution is the way to go for non western countries?

What you are saying is definitely true. People in third world countries made over the past many bad decisions, and I think that is mostly due to the lack of education, and an absence of honorable ruling class. But still the west is playing a big role in that matter too. those countries are still maintaining bad influence over their colonies or areas of interest. Draining at the same time human and financial wealth crucial for these countries to rise as decent nations. Mallence give an interesting talk on that matter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pvNp9gHjfk

This entire thread and the common trends in western media makes me think that Turkey will be soon destroyed, and will be joining other failed countries. Clearly not by raw force since this military coup failed to achieve his goals. I will always be amazed how the west manage to slaughter third world countries and still has political support from the people.
