What they never do is "earn." You wouldn't use that verb for money I took under threat of force or imprisonment, right? So why would you use it here? Try "steal," "rob," or, if you're feeling particularly generous, "take."
As for where it's going: Into a hole in the ground? My argument is that governments are inherently inefficient, not that governments shouldn't exist.
Government is emergent. It has to exist. If you see someone having the "Should government exist?" debate they're probably an anarchist in high school. Or an HNer, I guess. It's not a serious intellectual discussion topic. Drop 10 people off on a deserted island and they'll have a government 30 minutes later. There's no "no government."

Sure, it was iron overload [1]. I thought I could "eat like an adult" there and catch up on leafy greens which I always hated. But it turns out I hated them because my body can't process out iron. It kinda turned on its head my idea of "trying to be healthy" which is why I didn't mention the specific thing.

This is too specific. Look for the Trinity and you'll see it plainly. What lives in everyone's heart, created the world we live in and gives society its structure, according to them? That's what they worship.

I used to be like this. I regret it. I made a distinction that didn't exist-- that there were non-religious people and religious people.
Naturally, I was one of the non-religious people and therefore better. Instead of defining what I believed in, I could just attack the things I didn't believe in. It was easy. I never had to play defense. I might not win every time but I could never lose. I could rattle cages but had no cage of my own.
The way you're describing yourself is how everyone thinks. Faith and doubt are two sides of the same coin. I consider faith worthless without doubt.

The modern media that takes the form of news isn't news. It's public relations for corporate and government interests. Whenever a story like this "suddenly feels" anything it's being manipulated by those interests.

How much do you hear about hereditary hemochromatosis and iron overload? It disproportionately affects people named Pat, and the family of people with mysterious liver and heart issues. Get your ferritin checked if you haven't. It's the most common genetic disorder in the United States, and commonly dismissed as alcoholism after death (it does complicate it and produce some of the same symptoms). Sorry for your loss.

I'm a Christian so I know all about the "I'm a virgin and want a virgin" thing and couldn't approve more. Just... healthy expressions of it. The complete production people put on when a 25+ virgin is discovered is shameful, not for the virgin but for everyone acting it out. I hope I didn't imply I subscribe to any of that. But that being wrong is still an example of calling out an untruth. It isn't a truth unto itself.

There will usually be something like a PUA nearby torturing or exploiting them with demands and expectations, yeah. Narcissists form vicious hierarchies. Incels are just the ones at the bottom. You have to subscribe to the gymbro's ideas/values before he can 'win points' torturing you about gains or whatever. They're both obsessed with looking in the mirror. One just likes what he sees so he ends up higher in the pyramid. They both project their own self-image (bad or good) onto the expectations of others.
Lots of people think of narcissism as an after-the-fact thing but it's not. It's a pattern that anyone can be in, ugly or beautiful, rich or poor. Incels are unsuccessful narcissists; PUAs are successful narcissists. You're right to see a pattern.
In simplest terms, narcissism is an addiction to deeming things not good enough. The three flavors of targets are family/friends/SOs (covert), things (megalomania) and groups of people (grandiose). Incels are basically grandiose narcissists that can't back it up with any form of societal success.

Impossibly high standards and sense of entitlement: The point is rejecting to get a sense of power or self.

The incel community is more about attacking untruths. It's like a negatively-defined idea that's close to the truth, but I wouldn't call it a kernel.

As an American, I'd say one side is always swept up in a religious fervor and the other is strung out on drugs. They switch roles every twenty years or so. The one doing drugs allows humor and the religious one doesn't.
They're going to switch again within the next two years, by my estimate. It'll be big, traditionalist sects (Catholic, Mormon, etc) on the right and cannabis on the left.
Everyone has a manic/depressive cycle like in bipolar disorder (theirs is just more severe). You can manipulate it by messing with your sleep-- lack of sleep is one of the biggest triggers of a manic episode.
The mania triggered by this story should have been just as concerning as the depression.
I do this too but to scrape the bottom of the barrel on philosophy problems. It's basically like doing drugs.
