This is a mistake. The last 2 doom games sold quite well and have a unique look and feel that is associated with idtech. This could backfire on Microsoft big time.

These features suck on the few American cars I have seen them. In Florida using a rental driving to Orlando area my vehicle constantly told me to get my eye’s back on the road or to take a driving break. I was on a highway driving completely normal. Just annoying dashboard warnings over and over.
The only feature I like so far is the slight shake of the wheel if crossing over a lane.
Either this tech is janky/new or is just honestly not needed and distracting.
Same. This medication along with honest reflection about my own feelings and experiences in the present have been life changing… and I am 47z
I have found this to be true. I manage an organization with around 600 Apple laptops and now when setting them up I always increase the cursor size slightly. No one complains and it does appear to be a smoother experience.
Yes it’s hard to see Microsoft become what feels to me a shell of what it once was. Back in the day I got MCP certification and MCSA certification for server 2008/2003.
I managed fleets of windows devices and felt Windows and PC’s were efficient and had a good balance of an operating system and schema that is powerful and effective.
With windows 11.. it’s like an all time low emerged. Where I am just fighting against a platform trying a variety of gimmicks designed to extra rents and push tools that are not really all that useful or polished.
Windows 11 feels bloated and just feels like a struggle.
For me it really is the time of Linux. Whether it be a workstation, a server or even a simple kiosk… Linux just seems to embrace the ethos of what windows has left behind.
Agree, I just meant on the pricing. I like the rpi, have hads lots of fun with the rpi4 making a custom home media player. Just at this price point not sure it makes much sense for as many people to play around with.
Education price for schools is 499$ for the Neo. Have to agree no longer sure the pi makes much sense at this price point.
One good thing about the 8gig Neo means that I think Apple will at least work to support M1 8gig for a few more years!!
Think they will end paying the ransom quietly.
No, unfortunately this has been extremely difficult in my life. With raising children you have a shared goal and in although its hard it makes life simpler in you have something meaningful to focus on. Without kids we have had to face our own emotional issues and dynamics and this has not been easy.
As a father of 3 daughters now approaching 50 with my oldest now 24 … I will say that I believe some of this is true. Perhaps it is just the life altering effect of raising children or maybe is biological as well. You can definitely pickup on whether another male is a father or not.
I remember getting my first 486 33mhz computer and being able to play Ultima 7 the black gate, and later Ultima 7 part 2. This was a turning point for me as the game was way ahead of others on the console side of things. DOS 6 !
This should not be surprising. The CEO's primary objective is likely to increase profits and so this will be his/her primary focus. Even if the technology is not ready for prime time just making announcements like this likely helps increase negotiating pressure on radiologist group contracts and salaries.
MacBook Neo is going to sell like crazy. In the education market, educators, students, aides... nothing close at this price point. With memory and SSD prices so high I don't see how Dell, Asus and others are going to be able to compete. Unless the build quality is significantly worse than a M1 macbook air not sure budget PC makers will be able to compete.
Agree this reminds me of the level my Herman Hesse “The Glass Bead Game”. Academics and researchers have a moral duty to give back to the larger society that enables their endeavors .
Same I am in outstanding physical health and my diet / exercise is excellent. Taking Lexipro has made a massive improvement on my emotional bandwidth. I take vitamin D / fish oil and bits of other supplements. At least for me no question this medication even at a 10mg dose has made a major positive impact.
Searching email in Mac Mail is truly horrendous. I honestly like the program and use it almost daily … but when needing to search I absolutely open a browser window and login / search. The search has been a disaster in Mac Mail well over a decade.
It has improved my understanding of emotional dynamics between people. If anything has made me realize may be a bit more on the spectrum that I had realized...
Think these were made by animals / a long long time ago. They are burrows.
What exactly is international law these days? For example the ICC is ignored by the US, by Russia, by Israel, by China... among others. The UN does not seem to function quite like it did originally post WW2. In regards to Rule based order.. not sure exactly what this even means as well. Power in the world appears to be shifting or reshuffling and not sure these institutions and concepts apply like they once did.
The amount of AI narrated videos on Youtube is seriously alarming. This is like Blade Runner level dystopian at this point. With AI help once you go down a rabbit hole you can just stay there indefinately with a never ending supply of AI generated content. Shades of truth or not doesn't seem to matter.

Thanks for responding. Orion on iOS with extensions has been outstanding.. looking forward to linux version.
“ Dr. Peterson said he would reluctantly alter the course and replace the disputed modules with “lectures on free speech and academic freedom.” But he was angry, he said, as well as bothered by the sense that students would receive a less rigorous, challenging education in his classroom. ”
Quite sad to see the school administration get compliance here.
“ Such metrics are often closely guarded trade secrets. But according to the Dailian report, Samsung's yields for SF2 are in the 50% to 60% range, just high enough for commercial production. The same report puts TSMC's upcoming N2 node at 80%”
Looks like Samsung is actually closer to production than Intel 18A which is still having issues with yields.

Exactly this. It really is this easy. You have the full class period to write an easy on the economic causes of the civil war .. or on gender roles in pride and prejudice, or on similarities and differences on morality from the stoic ideals to Christianity in the Roman Empire. Kind of like most of my 90’s era college experience.
I think you are correct here. If you want to look at the decline of the US ... this is perhaps a good place to start. Short term capital extraction little long term strategic planning. Maybe Cisco is a good example.. lets move all of our switch hardware production to China and still charge the consumer 3500$ per switch. Equals short term gain, makes lots of millinaires... and then just a few years later.. now Huawei makes excellent switches that are mostly on par with Cisco at a better price point.
Wow decent results.. impressed.
Exactly. This pattern I think accurately describes the state of the US economy in general over the last few decades. Wealthy extracting wealth from what’s left of the middle class and further extracting wealth from the already poor. The decline of the US is now openly visible and attempts to hide this through economic language / indicators / propaganda etc are now openly not reflecting reality and often come off as in a dark way comical. This applies to some other western nations like France, England and perhaps Germany.
SteamOS does run on regular PC’s I believe unless something has changed?
